Usain Bolt proved that he remains the fastest man on the planet.
The Jamaican sprinter successfully defended his Olympic title after winning the men’s 100-meter final Sunday. Bolt ran in a blistering time of 9.63 seconds, setting a new Olympic record. He becomes the only man since Carl Lewis (1984-1988) to win back-to-back Olympic sprint golds.
The impressive performance caused Sportsbook.com to move Bolt's odds from 1-3 before the Olympics to 1-6.
Bolt begins defending his title in the 200-meter event, which he considers his best, in Tuesday’s heats. He’s also part of Jamaica’s 4x100 relay team that races Friday.
