Wimbledon odds: Monday preview and advantages

Don't ask us how, but we're now 9-2 and up 5.47 units with our Wimbledon picks. Maybe the Covers editorial staff should be picking more tennis matches? Probably just jinxed us there. Here are our two favorite plays for Monday:

Ana Ivanovic (+292) vs. Victoria Azarenka (-325)

Male sports fans will be torn as to who to root for in this battle of beauties. Ivanovic, a former French Open champion, has never mastered grass and has already had her serve broken nine times in her first three matches at Wimbledon.

Azarenka, the 2012 Australian Open champion, has made short work of her first three opponents. She’s getting her first serve in at a high rate and winning points at the net. Azarenka won the last head to head matchup 6-4, 6-4 on clay at Madrid.

Pick: Take Azarenka to win (-325) and take her on the game spread (-4.5).

Brian Baker (+172) vs. Philipp Kohlschreiber (-187)

We love the comeback kid Baker but this fourth round matchup is too tall of a task. Kohlschreiber is a big server, who’s putting his weapon to good use on grass. The 28-year-old German enters Monday’s match with 65 tourney aces and has sent Nadal killer Lukas Rosol and Halle winner Tommy Haas home.

Baker hasn’t faced the same type of competition and while his return game is pretty good, it won’t be enough to get the best of Kohlschreiber.

Pick: Kohlschreiber

Improved to 14-10, + 4.19 Units (1 Unit per pick) since the tournament began... Today, I am going for Roger Federer - 7.5 games (2.00), Ana Ivanovic + 4.5 games (1.95), Jo-Wilfried Tsonga - 5.5 games (2.00) and Richard Gasquet - 5.5 games (1.80)... Weather supposed to be bad in London all day so might only get play on Centre Court
