Oddsmakers see Wimbledon as Novak Djokovic’s tournament to lose now that chief rival Rafael Nadal is no longer in the field. Djokovic opened as the tourney favorite around +176 but is minus money heading into the second week of Wimbledon.
Six-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer is the player with the next shortest odds at +326. Federer last won at the All England Club in 2009 and he hasn't had much luck against the tourney favorite. Federer is just 1-7 in his last eight matches against Novak.
Things are much more open on the women’s side. Maria Sharapova, fresh off her French Open win, is the favorite at +231, while Serena Williams, who was pushed hard in her third round match against Jie Zheng, is the second fave at +322.
Last year’s Wimbledon winner Petra Kvitova is player with the next shortest odds to win at +500. There is a large cluster of ladies priced between 10/1 and 60/1 to win Wimbledon.
