Thunder at Heat Game 5: What bettors need to know

Oklahoma City Thunder at Miami Heat (-3, 193.5)

THE STORY: Miami Heat superstar LeBron James has had to deal with critics, fan backlash and his own impossibly high standards throughout his career. Tuesday night, he overcame a brand new challenge as leg cramps left him in severe pain in the waning moments of a 102-96 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. James is expected to be in the lineup Thursday as he aims for his first career NBA title when the Heat entertain the Thunder in Game 5.

TV: 9 p.m. ET, ABC, TSN

ABOUT THE THUNDER: A 43-point performance by Russell Westbrook still wasn't enough to lift the Thunder to victory, leaving them needing three straight wins to secure their first NBA championship. No team in league history has ever rallied from a 3-1 deficit to prevail, but superstar Kevin Durant says his team won't quit until the Heat clinch the title. "We're going to keep fighting," he said. "Frustrating to lose like that. It was just frustrating. But we're going to keep fighting, man. That's how we've been since I got here. We're going to keep fighting and just take it a possession and a game at a time."

ABOUT THE HEAT: Miami fans were spooked when guard Dwyane Wade got up favoring his back after hitting the court hard earlier in the night. He was fine, but James was not after falling during a drive to the basket and limping around until he was finally subbed out. James suffered cramping in both legs that limited his effectiveness, but he still knocked down a pivotal 3-pointer and doesn't expect to be hobbled in the Heat's first crack at a series win over Oklahoma City. "You had to play with an intensity that you had nothing left," Heat coach Eric Spoelstra said. "He didn't. He was playing at an incredible pace."

TRENDS:

- Heat are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 home games.
- Over is 7-2-1 in Heat's last 10 overall.
- Thunder are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Miami.

BUZZER BEATERS:

1. Westbrook joined Rick Barry as the only players 23 or younger to score at least 43 points in a Finals game. Barry reached the mark three times.

2. James has scored at least 15 points in the paint in all four games of the Finals. He didn't reach that total in any of the six Finals games last year against Dallas.

3. Thunder G James Harden has a bruised left hand but is expected to remain in the lineup for Game 5. Harden is shooting just 35 percent in the Finals.

HERE ARE SOME BOLD TRENDS that supporting OKC backers tonight game 5: And also favoring the game UNDER total.... OKC ---ATS 5-0 in the last three seasons after 3 or more consecutive losses. MIAMI...After 3 or more consecutive wins in last three seasons - 9 overs/ 15 unders when the totals are setting at 190-194.5 I am all in with OKC & UNDER !!! if win ; I will have Happy Summer- see you at game 6; if lost --will have BLUE SUMMER!!!....Good luck ! all....

Interesting info. But with so so many different variables with coaching and player moves......hard for me to factor the most probable outcome. But if coaches are the same.....style of play such as tempo could factor in on ov/un call. I tend to take the "right now factor" approach. Whith that said, ill be digesting your info utilizing the...."right now factor" approach.......lol....im serious.....cashdat ....madmax

...so why not come up with a final score that is closer to the total ? or better yet even closer to the 195 range .. okay .. my pred of 189 pts seems way short .. right .. anyway , here is my pred loser to 193 >>> 99 - 94 .. is still under 193.5 99 - 94 vs 96 - 93 or ? 100 - 93 ooh my , that was Wifeys game 1 pred and she was off by a tad .. gotta love it <><><><><><><>

honestly i meant to say that they would be more hesitant to shoot .. selective in thier shots and that mia would play a half court game more and okc would again be more hesitant to shoot early in the shot clock .. is all up to the refs really .. lmao .. so if you know the refs like the overs ? hey , there it is , the end .. if it is fixed then you just need to figure out in whos best interest it would be in with the total .. really though , smile G

this game is going under holmeboy , did you feel the last game or did you just watch it ? was a so wraptight you could put it in your pocket .. and walk with it . lmao 6 senses ,, if the game is on the up and up then it should average 47 - 50 a q .. but if one team has a down scoring q , say 16 , or both teams do .. yeah yeah and so on .. okay .. well that is what is going to happen tonight .. from where i am sitting .. notice how through that both teams / or the total would look like it was going low and still somehow they would manage to push it up at the end of the q's ? yeah , that was bullshi! game 1 was 17 pts in the last 2:20 .. you know that is a joke . they seem to push it , push it over the total .. if you are looking at it that there are so many great scorers on the court so you think someone scores 100 .. yeah , i probably should nto even have said nothing .. haha lmao Luv out <>

Hopefully from all this we can bring together cappers of all levels and we can learn and profit from each others knowledge. Props goes out to the following cappers.......LUCKY LOGAN......HELLBELL........PARLAYBOB......RUTGERROT214...etc. One thing we all shared was a collective committment to bangin out wins. Bloggers would come here just to tail someone whos hot and cut a profit. Theres always gonna be a lil bafoonery time to time with a select few. But for me ......i talk shit about my solid predictions and win most. The only downsde is that it makes ppl miss the boat because they are in hopes that this shit talker goes down........HARD! Then they come to realise .....madmax produce wins......he can be a bit cocky but hes a winner. Its like a Mohammed Ali state of mind......work hard at working smart , believe in yourself.........and no matter if its business , job, career, relationships and even hobbies..........you WILL win. cashdat.......madmax

i wont even begin to think i know .. winks , but i will add that when i was watching last game i was feeling my prediction all along was probably right about it being a series that should have or has a good potential to have a lower total .. i was thinking 187.5 - 190.5 , then watching the first 2 fixes , i mean games .. i was swaying to that it was a series that should be in the 190 - 193.5 .. i know cit can be so minute what makes it go over or not and that it depends on what kind of game it is , how close .. as i am elevating i must say i was really feelin the under by wtaching last game ... lmao its true , doesnt mean im right but .. okay , 4 hrs and counting and its on baaaby !!! happy 4:51 thurs peeps .. oops this cant be it .. haha

I just feel that .....if the refs are not partial as it relates to the distribution of fouls....Okc will win ONE game. The Books will clean up today BIGTIME if okc wins. All the bandwagon fleas are shook off the team that became the hot bet after beating Spurs. Now its like ........polish the crown and give it to Lebron............So why even play? Okc has no chance.......PROBABILTY QUESTION?.....WHOS DUE TO WIN?...........AND WHOS DUE TO LOSE?.................MESSAGE!!!!!!!!!???????
