Two Covers users are $1,000 richer thanks to the Los Angeles Dodgers and Covers Contests’ Streak Survivor.

Both navydiver2 and SkipspikS extended their streaks to 17 Friday night, winning with the Dodgers’ 7-6 victory over the Chicago White Sox. A wild pitch turned out to be the deciding factor, scoring L.A.’s James Loney for the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth.

navydiver2 and SkipspikS are now just four correct picks from taking their winning streaks to 21 games and a $25,000 cash prize, and only eight correct picks from bringing their streak to 25 games and taking home the $100,000 Grand Prize.

Both contestants have relied mostly on MLB winners to get them this far, sprinkling in NBA Playoffs action here and there. And navydiver2 and SkipspikS aren’t the only Streak Survivor contestants with outstanding stretches.

Fellow Covers users MCorwin and BIGfnPOO each own 16-game winning streaks heading into the weekend. MCorwin has already made his pick for win No. 17, selecting the New York Yankees over the Washington Nationals Saturday afternoon.
