Online book calls out Birdman over $5M Pats bet

BetOnline.com is calling out for Birdman to back up his boast, according to Joe Fortenbaugh at National Football Post.

Last week, the co-founder of Cash Money Records tweeted that he was willing to bet $5 million on the New England Patriots to win Super Bowl XLVI.

"Rap superstar @BIRDMAN5STAR wants to bet $5 million on the Patriots. If you are serious, we here at BetOnline.com want your action,” Dave Mason of BetOnline tweeted last Friday.

The singer of "Money to Blow", Birdman has not officially responded to BetOnline.com, according to Mason. With that in mind, Mason told National Football Post that there are a few prop bets on whether Birdman would step to the plate.

"We were sure we’d hear from Birdman over the weekend, but not even a chirp," Mason said. "I still have plenty of faith, but our oddsmakers – not so much. They have him at +500 to actually place the $5 Million Super Bowl bet with us. The ‘no bet’ is -700."

Dutch, that is not necessarily true. Giants in general are being pounded, this specific book may have gotten overwhelmed with NYG action that they are begging for NE action to balance things out a bit...birdmans wager would only balance things, hence, the book isn't paying birdman those on the opposing side are. I would make a small wager that he would make this wager based on ego alone.

Do you people realize there are usually "MAX BET" on most prop bets. The most you can lay is like 5,000 at most sports books.

Now of course we all think he is full of crap, but if this was mayweather instead of birdman would we be thinking the same. I say not, mayweather would place a bet like this.

If their enthusiasm for taking his bet doesn't tell you that Vegas knows that the Giants are the smart bet....nothing will.

If he were to do it it'd be in Vegas legally and with no problems getting money in and out. With the feds alerted to the situation, illegally betting with an online service would be foolish as they could make him a high-profile selective prosecution. Also how would he get that kind of money in and out on a quick turnaround? Giants plus 3 is the smart play anyways. Eli won't lose to Brady in Peyton's Place.

If he's as smart as I hope he is. He will take the bet, to keep his word, and hedge it.

IRS would be waiting on a 5 mil wager in LV. Let's see, 5 mil; half would go to Uncle Sam. maybe Offshore a better idea?

if he did place it would be in vegas not with some two-bit small potatoes online gaming corp...who as "johncapper" pointed out probably would file bankruptcy if they took that bet and lost ( if they even took the bet ) just a big mouth small company trying to put there name out there with the big boys LOL they will pray Birdman doesnt take them up on that, and the prob was for him to bet "with them" not bet it period... of course he will throw a few mill on the game, but not with some online bookie

Yeah didn't Birdman say he wanted his "peeps" to come out and bet him and he was willing to pony up 5 mil? That means NO JUICE, just like if you and I bet the game. At least that's the way I understood it when reading the original article. So BOL should offer a no juice wager to him and let him bet on credit so that he doesn't have to risk moving money.

trying to collect from BOL would be a problem

Why wont Birdman just place 5 million on the 'no bet prop'?

Locals are in the habit of taking $5M bets with no juice, eh?

If Bryan actually goes through and makes this bet it will be with a local where no juice is involved and he will be guaranteed a payout. (light bulb)
