Toronto Maple Leafs at Montreal Canadiens (-140, 6)

The Montreal Canadiens showed a lot of resilience coming back from a 2-0 first-period deficit against the Washington Capitals Saturday night, but eventually suffered a 4-3 shootout loss. Montreal was 16 seconds away from escaping with a win, but a Paul Mara penalty for high-sticking led to a Caps power play goal with 11.4 seconds left in regulation.

“We have to stay out of the box”, Hamrlik told the Montreal Gazette. “We can’t take stupid penalties, especially against a team like this. We let them tie the game, and when it gets into a shootout, it’s 50-50.”

The Habs, who had only managed one power-play goal in six games prior to Saturday’s tilt, scored two on the man advantage in Saturday’s loss. They also managed to contain one of the league’s best offensive teams and got a couple of incredible stops from goalie Carey Price.

Fortunately for the Habs, they face a Toronto team that owns the worst defense in the league allowing 3.62 goals per game and the worst penalty kill with a 72.9 percent efficiency rate.

Pick: Canadiens

Ottawa Senators at San Jose Sharks (-180, 5.5)

Jonathan Cheechoo and Milan Michalek will return to San Jose for the first time since being traded to the Senators for Dany Heatley almost three months ago.

“It’s going to be weird for sure,” Michalek told the Ottawa Citizen. “It’s the first time, so it will be something special. I want to see how the fans are going to react. I was there for five years. That’s a lot of time, and I have good memories.”

San Jose’s top line of Joe Thornton, Patrick Marleau and Heatley has combined for nine goals and 24 points in the past five games.

The Sharks’ dominant offense has been kind to over bettors. Six of San Jose’s last seven games have exceeded the posted total.

Pick: Over

Tonight/Monday I won 2 plays but lost 3. I kicked 3 winners to the curb and kept the wrong ones, so I lost 1.25 units. For Tuesday I like that trend on the Over in San Jose games. I'll take a closer look at that one. But I do like a two-team ML parlay on the Blackhawks (at home against the Jackets on a B2B) and the Sharks.

Breaker, breaker - JayGeezMoe calling DDH...

Hahaha fill your boots with as much S. Ont. action as you wish! I will sit in the bleachers and cap-a-roo some totals for the Association.

I just noticed Dec. 1st is the first day WCLC made totals available for B-ball.

Might be time for a new avatar. A JayGeezMoe Rally Avatar!

Wow I didn't watch the end, or much after the half actually, of MNF. Nice Under hit! It squeaked in like the Under in the Coupe Grey yesterday.

I was just looking over the board for Tuesday and while doing a preliminary bet my finger slipped and landed on the game for the Habs and that team from Southern Ontario.

My tipng wonte be az prcise now az i hd to cut off tht fingr. Ooch

DDH: FYI - LAK @ Anaheim

Kings last five games produced 10 goals in 5 games (2, 1, 3, 2, 2) - 2 road/3 home

Ducks last five games produced 13 goals in 5 games (2, 3, 3, 3, 2) - all 5 at home

How can Toronto have the worst defense in the league if the are giving up 3.62 goals per game and Columbus is giving up 4.00 goals per game?

jgmjgm

I show Toronto's GAA at 3.60. I'm not sure if the writeup reflects the numbers from Monday's game or not.

Columbus gives up that number (4.00) on the road. At home they are better defensively thus their overall GAA comes down.

Hey all

San Jose looks very good...The big thing everyone saw here in Vancouver was their PENALTY KILL !! We'd never seen anything like that and we're pretty sure the 'nucks are going to take a hard look at adopting a similar style..Anybody who is taking the sharks and the under is probably on the mark...GL

I'm going to stick with my philosophy and am almost relieved that what happened tonight ,DID happen...I know that sounds funny but it was beginning to look like a MONSTER was being born ....LOL....Toronto almost looked like they tanked somewhat in anticipation of tomorrows game and I would worry if I were the Habs..This is a genuine rivalry and....yes....I'm going to go for the SO...THERE , I SAID IT !!!

more tomorrow...(my son just came down from his logging camp in the Queen Charlottes so we're gonna drink some beer)

Loved Hawks reg on a big bet at first, but as Darknezz write -- it's their 1st game back from a long road trip and -160 just isn't worth it... Ended up with a parlay and a single play for today.. Small card after the tought day in hockey yesterday...

# Sharks Reg (-125) to win 3,30u

# Hawks ML/Sharks ML to win 2,00u

BOL to all

3-1-1 in hockey last night, but missed the over in MNF for a grand total of 3-2-1.

I do not like the board all that much today, but will probably end up finding a couple of nice plays from the input of you guys. The over in the CHI/CLB game is tempting me and a play on the Habs is warranted consideration.

You take MTL on the side, but your write up just screams "play the over," more than making a case for the Habs.

Tonight game .

Toronto at Montreal:

Gomez back on second line whit Pacioretty and Moen, D'Agostini back on fourth line whit Metropolit and Chipchura, Price in nets....Gill and Andrei Kostsityn will be back friday or next monday vs the flyers......for Montreal players to watch are kessel,Kaberle and Grabosky...those 3 play real well vs the habs.....last 10 games Carey Price had 2,29 avg and ,936 SV%.

Just three plays for me today. Playing the trend on the OVER when the Jackets are on the road, and plaing the trend on the UNDER in the Ducks/Kings, then doing the patented 2-team ML vig buster parlay like DDH mentioned above. I usually don't play the Sharks unless Nabby is in goal, but I'm trying this 2-teamer tonight anyway. Good luck to everyone!

OVER 5.5 (-120) BLACKHAWKS vs Blue Jackets, to win 1 unit.

UNDER 5.5 (-125) DUCKS vs Kings, to win 1 unit.

CHICAGO -250 vs Columbus, SAN JOSE -200 vs Ottawa, 1 unit wins 1.1

SHARKS/SENS over 5.5

Laying low for awhile after last nites debauchery...

I am, however, choosing six games for today and tomorrow with an eye on seeing 3 of them coming in...ALL OT/SO

Tor/Mtl...LA/Ana....Ott/SJ....Vcr/NJ....Crd/Flo....Nash/Minn

any three correct pays 4.75 to 1...all correct pays 108:1

Have a great nite people

Like said before, don't like the board that much.

#1: Grand Salami O23.5 (+100)

I like the over in 3 of the games, and think the Anaheim game has a chance as well. LA has been know to light the lamp a few times this year.

#2: CLB @ CHI (+1.5) (-127)

Rare to see a puckline like this for a dog. The Hawks are coming home after a long trip. Lets hope the Jackets keep it rolling here tonight after a strong 3rd period last night.

Today I find value at CHI -0,5 (reg.time) -135 (Pinnacle). I give 60% so EV is 1.04.

Stake 3/10 (Kelly/6, unit=0.3%)
