The World Series is over and that means Sunday Night Football is back.

And this weekend’s matchup was worth the wait, as the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles square off in a battle of surging NFC East rivals at Lincoln Financial Field (8:20 pm ET, NBC).

The game will be the 100th all-time meeting between the Cowboys and Eagles. Dallas holds a 55-44 SU edge, but Philadelphia is 26-22 SU at home.

The Cowboys (5-2 SU, 4-3 ATS) have won three straight while the Eagles (5-2 SU, 5-2 ATS) have won their past two.

NFL Odds at betED.com have the Eagles as 3-point favorites and the over/under total at 48.5.

Philadelphia has a 6-4 SU and ATS edge over the past 10 meetings, including a 44-6 pasting as 2-point home favorites the last time the teams met on Dec. 28 last season.

Dallas is coming off a 38-17 win over the Seattle Seahawks as a 10-point home favorite last Sunday. The score went over the total of 46.5.

Quarterback Tony Romo had a solid outing, passing for 256 yards with three touchdowns.

The Eagles emerged victorious in another big NFC East battle last weekend, beating the suddenly struggling New York Giants 40-17 as a 2-point home underdog. The score went over the total of 43.5.

Donovan McNabb’s numbers were almost identical to Romo’s, as the Eagles’ pivot passed for 240 yards with three TDS.

Dallas is just 3-7 SU in its past 10 divisional tilts while Philadelphia 6-4 SU.
