Phoenix Suns at Boston Celtics (-10, 205.5)

There are some good games on Friday’s slate, but this one takes the cake.

The Celtics are scary good to start the season, going a perfect 6-0 (4-2 ATS), while the Suns have gotten off on the right foot, going 4-1 (2-3 ATS) in the opening week of the schedule.

Phoenix suffered its first loss, dropping 122-100 to the Orlando Magic Wednesday night. Star forward Amare Stoudemire had a monster game on offense, scoring 25 points while pulling down 14 rebounds. However, the lanky 6-foot-10 power forward had a tough time defending Orlando big man Dwight Howard, who equaled Stoudemire’s 25 points in the victory.

The Suns have struggled to contain opposing frontcourts in recent games, giving up 21 points to Minnesota forward Al Jefferson and 22 points to Clippers center Chris Kaman in Phoenix’s other two ATS blemishes.  While the Suns might not miss Shaquille O’Neal’s lumbering frame on offense, they do miss the space he took up on the under the basket on defense.

Now, Amare and the Suns face Boston’s talent-rich frontcourt. Kevin Garnett and Rasheed Wallace can stretch a defense to the point of breaking and are getting solid offensive numbers from center Kendrick Perkins to start the year.

Pick: Over 205.5

Oklahoma City Thunder at Houston Rockets (-6, 190)

No one saw the Rockets’ offensive outburst coming to start the year. Houston is the 10th most productive team in the NBA and is scoring more than 104 points per game.

Newly acquired Trevor Ariza is leading the charge for Houston, scoring 22 points per game in those four contests. Also chipping in are speedy point guard Aaron Brooks and burly sixth man Carl Landry, who is averaging 13 points off the pine. Even rookie Chase Budinger, who sat out Wednesday’s loss to the Lakers with an ankle injury, is pulling his own weight. He could be back in the lineup against the Thunder Friday night.

In each of the last four games, the Rockets have eclipsed the century mark in points, averaging 109 points in that span. That’s led to four straight over paydays for basketball bettors taking the totals.

Pick: Over 190

Wait until the morning when the rest of the lines are out. There could be better lines or wagers than these two.

haven't capped NBA yet for tomorrow but like the over in Boise State-LTech game 50.5 vsmall on Boise -20.5 LTech are tougher at home but Boise needs to run up the score to impress the voters but that is a big # road favorite. 4 of last 5 at LTech have gone over 51 pts GL H$

a nice 0-3 as Temple blows a 31-13 lead and the small teaser loses, too, and Edmonton gives up a late goal to Rangers sending that game over! H Money-good capping on that total on Boise. Teasing Boise with the over and Pitt vs. Syracuse tomorrow! GL to all!

How strange is that denver line?? opend at denver minus 2 then to pickem then to dnever plus 1 so wierd. i am taking them anyway . denver has won 8 out of the last 9 mettings in Maimi. plus denver just steam rolling teams again. like last season they throw it into 5th gear in the second half and blow people away. Also think they are used to that altitude in denver and dont get as tired playing in the second half. the opposite of what happens to teams when they play in denver.

also like what ever prop bet comes out for le bron james pts he will score 50 again in the garden. He loves showing off for his potential new team. put the house on it. It should be something like 35 37 pts ill be putting a 5 piece on that

I may eat my words on Monday BUT I think San Diego+5 over the G MEN is the best bet on the board for Sunday. I think they cover easily and may win outright. Also have to agree with Jetman on OVER 48 in the Indy/Hou game...Loving alot of games this weekend and could make out for a great or disaterous weekend...Good Luck..will be back later with some picks for tonight....

Dont know if anyone is into fading picks but it seems to be the only way i can win as of late.. well as of forever but late sounds better!!

anyway i think i sniffed out a fade. fades are 3 and 0 when the L word is used.L word alert!!L word alert!!

heres the thread Bobby jindal picks!! Guranteed 100% ( 1 2 )

here is a line from the thread i especially like

copy and pasted below

i am calling my atlanta play a lock for tomorrow. U may have gotten away with utah tonight and golden state the other night, but no one has any thing on me when i call locks!!!

Try it bro.. come on.. Say u are gonna take the bobcats... ATL is coming off a west coast road swing, they probably didnt land in atlanta until 7 am this morning, got to bed around 8 am and will still be groggy and time lagged and they will lose and not cover that easy 3..

Its up to anyone if they fade but i feel good about my chances..

sorry about the cavs play and i hope some faded the MUSHROCK!!

It's been a crazy day here in Orlando! Thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims! People get crazier every day!

Here is what we know about tonight's game:

Orlando will be without Vince Carter again and JJ will start in his place.

Detroit will be without Rip and Prince again.

Orlando should cover! Dwight has been waiting for this game for a few days and after the way the Magic came out against Phoenix, I see them licking their chops for tonight.

I am starting to look at other games now, will get back soon.
