The Indianapolis Colts have beaten every team they have played this season but are losing the battle with the injury report.

Linebacker Tyjuan Hagler was placed on injured reserve with a ruptured biceps muscle, the Indianapolis Star reported Wednesday.

Hagler, fourth on the team with 36 tackes, is just one of several injuries.  Cornerback Kelvin Hayden sat out practice with a concussion and knee woes,  cornerback Marlin Jackson also did not practice due to a knee strain and safety Bob Sanders sat out with an elbow injury.

Hagler will be replaced by either Philip Wheeler or rookie Ramon Humber. Wheeler was beaten out by Hagler for the job in preseason.

According to the report, Hayden likely will not play, while Jackson said he would play. There was no word on Sanders.

The report also said receiver Anthony Gonzalez also did not practice is seeking a second opinion on his knee.

Not all the news was bad. Backup running back Donald Brown went through a full practice, which may indicate his strained shoulder is healing.

The Colts (7-0) are seventh in the NFL in total defense and first in scoring defense. They host the surging Houston Texans in an AFC South matchup that could end the division race or tighten it up.

Indianapolis is favored by 9.5 points with a total of 48.
