The Los Angeles Lakers might be down their two best players tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Kobe Bryant is experiencing flu-like symptoms which forced him to miss his team's shoot-around this morning.

He's uncertain if he'll play tonight, but coach Phil Jackson told reporters in these cases, "he usually does."

The Lakers are still missing the services of All-Star big man Pau Gasol. The Spaniard has yet to play this season because of a troublesome hamstring injury.

Bryant is averaging over 30 points and seven rebounds per game this season. The 11-time All-Star played in every game last season but missed four the year prior. The Lakers went 2-2 straight up and against the spread in those contests.

Oddsmakers originally had the Thunder listed as 7.5-point home dogs, but the line was quickly taken down when the news hit this afternoon about Bryant's questionable status.

Sounds like a superstar just wants a day off..... damn....wish Joe Average can do that. I'd love to tell my boss that I am suffering flu iike symptons all week.

Let me PREDICT THE FUTURE!

Kobe, despite "flu-like" symptoms, WILL PLAY TONIGHT.

Now, how did I know that?

Simple. MICHAEL JORDAN DID IT ONCE IN A PLAYOFF GAME. Kobe, in his peanut brain mind, thinks, "I can do better than that, I'll come back in a regular season game!"

Once a person, always a person.................

nice connection there Hawk!

And what was up with MJ's retirement speech. So dumb of him taking shots at people who helped him with his legacy. (ex. Bryon Russell and the GM of the bulls)

what is wrong with these athletes....can't bye-gones be bye-gones?
