Cleveland Browns coach Eric Mangini has an unseemly quarterback controversy on his hands.

Usually, a coach is torn between two signal-callers that can get the job done. The winless Browns have a pair of quarterbacks that have been awful in Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson.

Quinn won the job in preseason and lasted 2 1-2 games. He was yanked at halftime of Sunday's 34-3 loss at Baltimore, going 6-of-8 for 34 yards and an interception. In 10 quarters, he directed the Browns to one touchdown.

Anderson, a former Pro Bowler, started the second half and was 11-of-19 for 92 yards and three interceptions, two of which set up TDs for Baltimore.

The Browns are 0-3 straight up and against the spread this season, having been outscored 95-29. Going back to last season, Cleveland has lost nine straight games (0-8-1 ATS), managing just 57 points.

Moreover, ESPN.com is reporting that five unidentified Browns are filing grievances with the NFL Players Association to protest fines levied by Mangini, who is in his first year as Browns coach.

The Browns host the Cincinnati Bengals next Sunday. Cleveland is 5-1 to win the AFC North and has a win total of 6.5.

The problem is the organization hiring inept coaches. As the best coach they had was Butch Davis... now back in the college game. Eric Mangini left the Patriots way to soon as he was not ready to be a head coach. Bill B. will tell you this, as this is why he was upset with Eric. Bill doesn't mind his assistants moving on for promotions as long as they are ready for them. Eric was far from ready to be a head coach as was Romeo Crennel. Once becoming a head coach he was quickly fired as the Jets head man. And now he is doing horrible leading the Browns. Eric Mangini is a number 2 guy he is not a number 1. None of his teams respect him and niether do I. His locker room is a mess and his players hate him. Eric Mangini please step down!
