Patriot Games

New England is now 0-2 against the spread after falling to the Jets 16-9 Sunday afternoon. It’s the first time the Pats have started the year out winless against the spread in the first two weeks since 2001.

The Jets meanwhile are 2-0 against the number and are sitting pretty atop the AFC East division.

“We believe that we are the better team today,” Jets coach Rex Ryan told reporters after the game. “We went out and showed it.”

Cheap Champs

The defending Super Bowl champs are also 0-2 against the number. The one thing you can still count with the Yellow and Black is defense. The under has cashed in both their games.

Ravens Offense Soaring

Baltimore would never have got that back door cover last week against Kansas City if it wasn’t for the team’s new-found potent passing attack. Joe Flacco had 307 passing yards in Week 1.

The Ravens scored 31 points mostly off San Diego turnovers yesterday against San Diego, but still, Baltimore is averaging 34.5 points. The over has cashed both time comfortably too.
