Detroit Pistons at Chicago Bulls (-5.5, 191) odds provided by logans

The Pistons are getting dangerously close to falling into the eighth-seed - a position that would match them against the East-leading Cavaliers in the first round of the playoffs.

The Pistons have lost four of their last five and are just 4-6 in their last 10 overall but each of their last four setbacks were by five or fewer points.

“This is four games we’ve given away at the end," Pistons guard Arron Afflalo told reporters. “We’ve got to find a way to pull these out.”

The only problem is that the Pistons are 2-8 against the spread (ATS) in their last 10 overall against Chicago.

The Bulls, meanwhile, are 4-1 in their last five home tilts, including back-to-back wins over the Boston Celtics and New Orleans Hornets.

Chicago is 2.5 games back of the Pistons for the seventh-seed and is 6-0 ATS in its last six against Detroit.

Pick: Bulls

Houston Rockets at Utah Jazz (-5, 193) odds provided by logans

Houston has been playing well recently but winning in Salt Lake is no walk in the park.

The Rockets have won eight of their last 10 overall but are 5-5 against the spread (ATS) in that period.

Utah, meanwhile, has won 11 consecutive home tilts and is coming off an away win Friday over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Point guard Deron Williams led the Utah with 24 points and 11 assists Friday. Five other Jazz players also scored in double-digits.

“I just felt like I needed to get it going a little bit,” Williams told reporters Friday.

Williams should have another big scoring night when he matches up against Rockets second-year point guard Aaron Brooks.

Brooks, who has started just 25 career games as a professional, is putting up 11 points and three assists a night.

Utah is 4-1 ATS in its last five at home against a club with a winning road record.

Pick: Jazz

Posted yesterday when nobody cared yet.

Early NCAA:

Thursday:

Uconn -6.5 They have learned to play without Dyson and are running and gunning.

I think they take this one going away.

Memphis -4.5 Mizzou has looked shaky to me. I do not think they can respond to a big

run by Memphis.

Pitt - 7 They are due for a blowout and who is going to stop Blair.

Nova +2 Big East teams looking tough and have played good teams all year in

conference. I also think Duke is overrated this year.

Friday:

Louisville -9 Time for cinderella to go home.

Syracuse +1 Playing well at the right time. Oklahoma does not impress me that much

and unless B Griffin has a monster game, they are done.

Kansas +2 small lean here. no sound analysis yet.

gonzaga +8.5 Not convinced Lawson can do it twice. Zaga has enough shooters to keep

it within the spread.

Uconn, Memphis & Syracuse are my top three picks out of the bunch.

Hey gang,

Wanted to clear up a typo from overnight. Chicago is 6-0 ATS in its last six games vs. Detroit - not 0-6.

Thanks and good luck today with your wagers.

I went 1-2 last night getting most of my SMALL wagers back with a 2h cover by portland. There is something to be said about the 76ers in the first half. Go back and look at most of their games that they WON. They are up HUUUGGGGEEE in the first half, almost come back and lose each game. They were up almost 30 to the kings at one point 2 days ago and almost lost that, up 14 at the half to portland last night and in the forth down 6. This is a major trend with them. I lost a ML bet with them earlier this year where they were up 17 at the half and lost by 10.

PLAY #1 AUBURN -3 POINTS (2 UNITS);

While Baylor's Big 12 tourney run and easy win at Va Tech give one pause, the fact is the Bears were just 3-8 SU on the road this year and even with the team's recent splurge, are a sad 11-17 ATS. Meanwhile, the Tigers are 21-7 ATS, which is the best pointspread mark in the nation. Auburn went 18-3 SU at home, going 11-3 ATS and winning all seven non-lined home games. Auburn's a solid defensive club (65.1 PPG / 40.5 percent on opponents' FGs) and has the perimeter depth to match up with the Bears. Let's note that the Tigers enter this game on an 11-2 SU and ATS run. Auburn routed Tulsa 74-55, despite the team's best player (Barber) being limited to just 13 minutes due to foul trouble (that doesn't figure to happen again). Expect the Tigers to win here and head off to a "Garden Party" in New York next Tuesday.

THAT IS ENOUGH REASON FOR ME - GOOD LUCK TO ALL TODAY!!!!!!
