New York Knicks: Center Eddy Curry is expected to make his return to the lineup against the Dallas Mavericks tonight. Curry has been sidelined with numerous injuries and ailments, most recently a bruised knee. He's not in shape yet so Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni plans to use Curry sparingly until he gets in game form. New York dressed just eight players in its last game with Jared Jefferies as the only true center on the roster.
Dallas Mavericks: Forward Josh Howard is still playing through an ankle injury suffered in December. Howard scored 22 points against the Clippers Tuesday but his numbers have dropped since returning to the lineup. There are also rumors buzzing that he'll be dealt to the Toronto Raptors for forward Andrea Bargnani, although local media deny any deal is in the works.
Los Angeles Clippers: The Clippers continue to slide, losing eight straight games due to a depleted roster. Los Angeles is without starters Baron Davis and Zach Randolph as well as backup center Chris Kaman, scorer Ricky Davis and reserve guard Jason Hart. The team traded for then waived guard Hassan Adams and decided to pick up Fred Jones again after waiving him earlier in the week. Jones should be healthy and in the lineup against San Antonio.
San Antonio Spurs: Forward Tim Duncan banged his knee against the Memphis Grizzlies Friday but looked in fine form against the Philadelphia 76ers, scoring 26 points and pulling in 12 rebounds, and Miami Heat, dropping 19 points and grabbing nine boards.
