It looks like bettors may be putting too much stock in Denver’s offense while ignoring its porous defense. The public is all over the Broncos as 3-point home faves against the Miami Dolphins this weekend.

Denver’s attracting more than 72 percent of wagers on the game at Sportingbet.com, according to oddsmaker David Main, who thinks the public – and the Broncos – could be in for a surprise on Sunday (4:05 pm ET, CBS).

“Denver does have the second-best offense in the league and the public seems to be quite happy backing them to cover,” said Main. “But Denver also has one of the worse defenses in the league, giving up an average of 394 yards and roughly 28 points per game,” Main said of the Broncos’ 30th-ranked D."

Main isn’t surprised Tennessee is also a popular bet this weekend as 5.5-home favorites against Green Bay (1 pm ET, FOX). About 71 percent of wagers on the game at Sportingbet.com are on the unbeaten Titans.

Other popular public picks include the Chicago Bears (13-point home favorites) getting 63 percent of bets against the Detroit Lions, and Pittsburgh Steelers (+1.5-road dogs) getting 70 percent against Washington Redskins.
