Week 20 Rank Last Week Change Team W-L (ATS) Power Rating Team Comments
1 1 same 50-10
-15.1 Golden State
After losing B2B regular season games for the first time in nearly two years, the Dubs have come back to average 115.5 points the L2 games (both wins).

-12 San Antonio
Winners of eight in a row, the Spurs now only trail the Warriors by 2.5 games in the standings.
3 3 same 42-19
-9.3 Houston
Staying within the number in a loss at San Antonio Monday improved the Rockets record to 9-1 ATS as a road dog.
4 4 same 37-23
-8.2 Utah
In contrast, the Jazz are 3-10 SU and ATS as road underdogs. However, they are 15-2 SU as road favorites.
5 5 same 36-24
-7.7 Toronto
Still my top ranked team in the East, which I admit seems odd. But they are 4-2 SU without Kyle Lowry.
6 6 same 41-17
-6.6 Cleveland
The defending champs have sure laid some eggs this season. The defense (22nd in efficiency) is a major concern.
7 7 same 36-23
-6.3 L.A. Clippers
The Over is 21-12 in Clippers' road games due to them giving up an average of more than 108 PPG.
8 8 same 38-22
-5.9 Boston
Boston started March with a win over Cleveland, then blowing out the Lakers. But they've since lost two straight and have two tough games coming up.

-5.7 Washington
The Wiz are also out West right now and just beat Phoenix, who beat Boston.
10 10 same 36-25

The Grizz are 0-3 SU/ATS to open March, blowing an excellent opportunity to put some distance between themselves and Oklahoma City.
11 12 up 1 26-32
-3.9 Milwaukee
Finally! The Bucks are starting to play better. They've won and covered three straight and will be favored (at home) each of the next three games.

-3.6 Charlotte
Incredibly, the Hornets are just 2-17 (straight up) as an underdog this year.
13 16 up 3 27-33

The Heat seem to officially be "for real" with this jump in the rankings. They are 16-4 SU and ATS the L20 games.
14 13 down 1 24-36
-3 Minnesota
The T'wolves have gone 4-2 SU/6-0 ATS their last six games. The two SU losses came to San Antonio and Houston

Wednesday night sees the Pistons try and do something they've only done twice all season - win three straight games.

18 14 down 4 35-25

Still the top Over team in the league, but the Nuggets are 3-0 Under in March.

-1.1 Portland
While Denver has the worst defensive efficiency rating in the league, Portland isn't much better (27th).
23 23 same 23-37

Remember how Boogie Cousins was going to lead a playoff push? Hasn't happened. The Pelicans have lost five of seven since the trade.
24 24 same 24-36
0.2 New York
Since Feb 1, the Knicks are 4-1 SU against Orlando, Philly and Brooklyn. They're 1-8 against everyone else.

Power Ratings compute offensive and defensive statistics into one number for each team, while accounting for factors like recent performances and strength of schedule. Power Ratings can be used as a baseline for relative spread index to compare current or future match-ups between two teams. The relative spread does not account for non-statistical factors like home-field advantage, recent injuries, game time decisions, rivalries, publicity, and weather.
