Miami +6 Miami OH +4 NW -1.5 Kent st +3 Ball st -3 Cincinnati -2 Fading cal -3 due to huge public money. Also like UConn +4 just don't know how much right now.

Give me the +4 (line has grown) and fade the public who generally looks at basic stats. Yes UTSA piles up more yards and scores more and allows less points... Perfect spot for us to take the home dogs, you don't bet on the basic stats that everyone has access to.

I lived in the NUTT and Rice is basically non-existent there as a football team. All of the HOT MODELS are at the Texans game wearing JJ Watt #99 jerseys. Home field advatage does not exist for Rice. No one goes to their games. EVER. Maybe players, their parents, and a professor or two. Now let’s go to the video tape. There are 128 FBS teams. Rice is ranked #127. That’s not good. Rice is 0-5 on the season and coming off a bye week where they had time to look at all of their crap game film and realize that they really do suck. Their defense should be called Minute Rice because it takes the other team less than a minute to score against them. They are giving up 40 points and 568 yards per game. They rank 100th or lower in 21 of the 47 statistical categories tracked by the NCAA. This may get somewhat quantitative, so some of you may want to skip this paragraph. If you look at Rice’s 5 games thus far, one of them was against Baylor. We won’t count that one because Baylor and UTSA are very different. However, take the power ratings of their other 4 opponents: Western Kentucky (66), Army (66), North Texas (54) and Southern Miss (66). UTSA has a power rating of 57, so we’re talking the same neighborhood. ANYWAY, Rice lost to these teams by 32 points, 17 points, 7 points and 16 points, respectively. They didn’t cover the 3 points in any of these games and they were only close to doing so 1 out of 4 times. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise when you see Rice’s power rating is only 48. Now let’s turn to UTSA – who has a record of 2-3 on the season. Their first game was a tune up victory over FCS Alabama State. But then they hit the meat of their schedule – 4 teams who are much stronger than Rice. Most notable is a 4 point loss to Arizona State and a 23 point victory (55-32) over Southern Miss. That’s right, the same Southern Miss team that beat Rice by 16 points. Rice likes to run the ball, but senior running back Darik Dillard is still questionable. Junior center Trey Martin and senior wide receiver Darrion Pollard are still expected to miss the game. Due to injuries, Rice hasn't been able to find consistency along the offensive line. Against UTSA, the Owls will start three sophomores and a freshman on the offensive line. On the other hand, UTSA’s offense is on a roll. The Roadrunners pounded out a school-record 339 rushing yards and 9.7 yards per carry against Southern Siss. Rice is yielding 12 yards per pass attempt and UTSA’s quarterback is completing 63% of his passes. There is no doubt that the Roadrunners will be slinging the ball around. The trend in the last 3 games has these teams going in opposite directions for sure. Here’s a picture of Rice’s head coach talking about getting a goddam snack. I don’t want to fat shame the poor guy, but what an endomorph. I am going to snack on my winnings when I go to window and pound UTSA for $900 on this 5 star pick. Guess we will talk Sunday morning... Trend-wise, UTSA is a bad road team ATS and Rice is coming off a bye, but UTSA just blew out a Southern Miss team that blew out Rice so the -3.5 feels like a fishy spread. 5-1 Arizona State needed 17 4Q points to beat UTSA too. I dunno what I'm missing. This should be a pick em game and I'm getting 3.5. Should be a tight game with rice winning outright or atleast covering the 3
