Its only good info if the 9-5 record is making money.....depending on the average juice of those bets it could be losing money with that record . . .but like the concept especially when the team also travels and are playing next day against a team staying put in their home stadium.

He had a great first inning . . .struck out two including Witt Jr. and got future hall of famer Perez to pop out . . . .also had a scoreless second . . .but got hammered in the third inning.....he is Astros top starting pitcher prospect . . .so he will get plenty of chances |

Mike Trout hasn't been offered a contract? You have to be free agent to be offered a contract by other teams . . . . . The overall stuff of pitchers in the game is better . . .guys coming out of the pen now are way better overall than the days Mays played . . . the game is different . . . but there will be fewer hall of fame type careers because so many pitch an inning at a time . . . . but its tougher on hitters seeing premium type stuff from so many different guys . . .Im not an angel fan at all . . .but the fact is ....Mike Trout is 12th all time in o.p.s ahead of Willie Mays . . and Frank Thomas . . .so yes they are very comparable . . . and as overall players Trout and Mays are very comparable as they can run and play great defense too . . . . why you dislike Trout so much is strange . . . Tony Gwynn was a great hitter. . . but not a power hitter . . .so his incredibly low strikeout numbers don't really fit in the conversation . . .Trout is a big run producer . . a 300 hitter with power that is rare. . . . and he walks a bunch so he won't get as many hits either. . . .Gwynn reminds me of Rod Carew . .who I grew up watching as a Twins fan.....loved Pete Rose too...but again . . .he was not a power hitter to go along with his average like Trout . Mays . .Thomas . . . .I will agree with you on one thing . . . .the Rangers don't need Trout with young talent you have in the outfield . . . wouldn't make sense with the money he would command . . .living in Texas now i watch the Rangers a bunch . . .you guys should be right there again in the mix ....im sure you are hoping Scherzer and Degrom both come back healthy.... |

He and Willie Mays are very comparable . . . .i see u said before they aren't comparable . . . but they are very similar . . . . Trout plays in an era with much more depth of quality arms he has to face and a variety of different pitchers also with the way pens are used today . . . .Mays dealt with different issues for sure . . .i hate comparing different times ...especially as long ago as the 50's and 60's . . . . and Trout may be overrated by some . . . I don't know . . . i just know his talent and when you are 12th all time in ops that's pretty damn good . . . .no shame in being behind Ruth ..Williams..and Gehrig . . .and 19 spots ahead of Willie ....give the guy a little respect . . . are u honestly saying if the Rangers traded for him you wouldn't be excited to have him in center field ? |

Frank Thomas struck out plenty . . .bottom line is both are 300 hitters and very productive . . . there are plenty of guys on track for the hall of fame .....including Cole ....the game has changed so much with not throwing starters as many innings and using multiple fresh arms in the pen . . . the increased velocity is just a fact in general . . .obviously Johnson and some outhouse guys threw crazy hard with great secondary pitches . . .but the amount of guys with the ability to throw 98 -99 -100 is at all time high . . . no doubt nutrition and training techniques are a part of it . . . especially compared to the 40's . .50's ...60's ...when many guys off a pitching staff still worked other jobs in the off season . . . . as many players and coaches have discussed at length don't underestimate how tough it is to face three different and even four different pitchers during a game ....all with velocity and a good secondary pitch or two . . .just different than guys in the 50's and 60's when Mays played . . . the amount of pitchers with great stuff was much lower than what is out there today . . . and the benefit of seeing a guy four at bats is huge .....bottom line is Trout is still a first ballot hall of famer......all time ops leaders Babe Ruth . . Ted Williams . . .Lou Gehrig . . . .12th is Mike Trout . . . in the history of baseball . . . .in the era those guys played in who knows how good his numbers would be ? Willie Mays . .certainly one of the greatest of all time all around players . . .is 33rd in ops.......so if u want to say a first ballot hall of famer strikes out too much (in era where strikeouts are way up due to not just the depth of pitchers with velocity and seeing so many different guys being a huge part of that) that's fine . . . .but he is one of the all time greats .....i think injuries have hurt him some for sure . . .no doubt . . . . but unless he falls off the table these last years . . .he will go down as one of best all around players ever . . . just like Willie . . . .both great baserunners and defensive players |

Willie Mays was a great player . . . but he would hit 50 points lower and strike out double what he did facing the stuff of today"s pitchers . . .the velocity increase as a whole and wipe out sliders in game today are far tougher as a whole . . . and batters today don't face the same pitcher four at bats like was common before . . . . .listen to former players and baseball people discuss this and its a huge factor . . .many of the pitchers in Willie's day were plumbers in the off season.....totally different era . . . .Ted Williams has commented on how much tougher modern baseball was for hitters as well as hundreds of others . . . .but keep listening to this dipshit . . . ..strikeouts are up all over baseball for many reasons . . .but the amount of guys on each staff with crazy stuff is one of main reasons . . .the athletes are far superior with modern training and nutrition ...back in the day there might be a couple guys per staff on average with crazy stuff....if that. . . now its usually 10 plus. . . .Trout is a first ballot guy without a doubt . . like mays he is a great base runner and defender . . .and hopefully gets traded to a legit contender so he may get a world series shot . . .but it won't keep him out if he never wins one.... |

And I love Frank Thomas . . . but he wasn't close to the defensive player and baserunner Trout has been . . . . and both have outstanding lifetime averages of .301 . . . . great for power hitters . . . .Thomas also never played in a World Series . . . .as he got hurt early in season the year the White Sox won it . . .recording just 105 at bats . . . . . |

Judge having 115 k's a year is not bad at all for a power hitter . . . . .and he absolutely will be a hall of famer. . . .guy is a huge run producer and a good defensive player . . . Ohtani may be in already . . . .and saying a guy isn't a hall of famer for lack of titles . . . is absurd . . .in baseball . . many great players never won a title . Ted Williams. .Barry Bonds...Rod Carew . .on and on . . .Mike Trout . . . often his teams have been bottom third in pitching . . .the title argument means nothing in baseball . . .Greg Maddux was one of the best ever for a long time .....he won one . . . .Mike Trout is already a first ballot slam dunk hall of famer . . . .to think otherwise is laughable . . . . |

The Angels have spent money but never had a competitive roster . . . after his first couple years . . . .Albert was average to below average most of his years there . . . Rendon has been injured and out more than he has played . . . they haven't had a chance in their division with Houston around and now Texas and Seattle . . . . .certainly nothing to do with Trout. Guy is a first ballot hall of famer who plays hard . . .great defender . .great baserunner . . .hits for average and power . . . I know he gets pitched around a bunch in big spots . . so many of his homers may come at other times . . . imagine him with real protection . . .the strikeout deals certainly overstated . . .Ohtani has 686 hits/756 strikeouts into this year......Judge 846 hits/1038 strikeouts......so give me a break with that point Had to figure a thread with Dave chiming in with useless info would be a joke

Duquesne win over Dayton was fairly routine . . . . St Bonny is off a big comeback and then double overtime game .......if anybody has a letdown or lack of energy it should be the Bonnies........Duquesne beat them twice in fairly tight games this year . . . . .should be a good one |

Brutal free throw shooting down the stretch including the kid missing clincher with a few secs to go . . . . .then he had a shot to foul near half court and doesn't do it . . . .with about 2 secs left . . . .then the guy banks in a three at the buzzer . . . . . not sure if its coach's philosophy to not foul there . . . .but kid should have done it anyway . . . . |
