By the way, you can get Pittsburgh over 8 @ 5 Dimes right now if you want to jump on it

Thank you Gilmo...Coincidence that you posted in this thread because I have been following your fantastic baseball plays for the past month and have been very successful. I have only you to thank! Actually, your baseball thread last night was what made me come up with the suggestion cuz i was mad at myself for missing the s.f. over pick upgrade to 5 units. I just forgot to refresh the page on my phone for an hour and came back to realize how costly my error was. Either way, I think you do excellent work, and you have made me very successful at betting baseball. Also, thank you Covers for everything that you do and for taking our suggestions into consideration! |

I am a longtime reader of the forums, but I just recently got a smartphone. Just wondering if there is anyway to subscribe to a thread here on Covers so you get updated when a post within that thread is made? I didn't know if it was possible, but I thought I would ask if anything like this was available to those of us with an account. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the Prime Steakhouse suggestion...will definitely be checking this out. Both of the girls that are going have said that they want to watch the fountain show at Bellagio anyway, so this is a great opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. Vegas Gourment - any other general Vegas suggestions that you have would be greatly appreciated.
nc1capper - i will contact you in a couple of days so you can continue with your R&R...thanks for accepting me

Hi all -
Been a long-time reader of many of the forums on this site, but I thought that this would be a good opportunity to have everyone's input on how I should spend my week in Las Vegas during the first week of April. A little background: This will be my second trip to Las Vegas. Last time, I went on business, and I had to stay at the Riviera. I think it goes without saying that the Riv is not a great place to stay for your first Las Vegas experience. Didn't really get a chance to explore too much because of the nature of my work, but this time I am heading to Vegas simply to take a vacation. I am going with my five other friends (two of which are girls), and we are arriving on Friday night (March 30th) and leaving Wednesday morning (April 4th). In between, it will probably be a free-for-all for the six of us. We are all in our late-20s, so we would like the Vegas experience to be fun but we aren't the type of people that will be experimenting with hardcore narcotics during our trip either. We are staying at the Rush Tower at the Golden Nugget for all 5 nights. nc1capper - I have added you as a friend to ask you some Nugget-specific questions that I was hoping you could help me with. So, thanks in advance for adding me as a friend. We chose to stay downtown due to the price break we got for our flight/hotel combination. I know from my previous visit that the Golden Nugget is the nicest facility in the downtown area, so I am looking forward to the chance to stay there. Other than that, though, I'm not really sure where my time should be spent when I am not playing blackjack or poker. As I said, we didn't have a lot of time to run around the city last time I was there, so I am still kind of a Vegas virgin. Any suggestions for shows (remember that there are a couple of girls in our group), meals, strip clubs, sportsbooks, etc.? Both of the girls want to go to a strip club in Vegas (a strip club with nude WOMEN for those wondering). Where would be the best place to take them? I've heard that the Rhino, O.G., and Sapphire's are all good places, but I didn't know which place was most "female friendly." They want lap dances and everything else that comes along with the strip club experience, but I don't want them to be weirded out by over-aggressive adult entertainers, either. Any ideas for best place in Vegas (regardless of location) to play BJ? I normally like to play pitch games, but so many these days pay 6-to-5. Any of the 3-to-2 payout pitch games left in Vegas? As far as comps go, I'm not really counting on any because me and one other guy are the biggest gamblers, and we will probably only have $400-$500 a piece in play each day. Neither of us like slots, as we both play BJ pretty much exclusively with the occasional trip to the craps table. But, if you have suggestions for any comps that might be available through the Nugget, I would appreciate it very much. I'm not much of a club type of guy, but I'm sure everyone else will want to explore a Vegas club at least one night while we are there. Any suggestions for decent clubs that you don't need a line pass to get into? While we have the money for it, we won't be ordering any expensive bottles of booze. We are just looking for some place where we can relax, enjoy some libations, and not have to stand 4 inches away from one another to hear each other talk. Any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated. If you could please limit the amount of "hookers and blow" type of responses to a minimum, I would appreciate it. While I do enjoy the humor and sarcasm underlying these comments, they really provide no helpful knowledge. That being said, congratulations in advance to the first person who responds with "hookers and blow" in their reply post, as I know it will be coming. Just want to have a real good time on this trip, as it might be the only time I have such a large group of my friends going with me. Would just like to show them a good time, so they might contemplate coming back with me in the future. Thanks in advance to everyone who can give any kind of tip whatsoever. Even if your only contribution is telling me about who I would need to speak with to get into a club or restaurant or something, I appreciate it all the same. If there are suggestions that you might not want to (or can't) give me in this open forum, please feel free to add me as a friend and PM me. Like I said, ALL suggestions will be taken into consideration. We (the guys in the group) are usually up for anything short of a heroin binge, so we are just looking for ways to enjoy Vegas to the fullest. Thanks in advance for all the help - I (we) really appreciate it!
