I follow the MVC more closely than most fans and bettors, and this was definitely a down year for the conference. All along, it looked like a 1-bid league. Everyone just expected that bid to be either Mizz. St. or Wichita. The fact that neither won the automatic bid doesn't qualify them for an at-large in this case because their are too many superior teams. Also, I wouldn't exactly say that Harvard was "snubbed", although I wouldn't have a problem with them being in th field. The only egregious exemption, in my opinion, was Colorado. I can't rationalize how they aren't in the field. |

It wasn't until after I finished filling out my bracket, with Ohio St. as the winner, that I looked back and said, "Oh man....they might realistically LOSE in round 2 if Nova has a great day shooting the ball." Its always a gamble, though. I've got Pitt going to the Final Four also, and they could very realistically lose to ODU in round 2. |

Butler???
I'm assuming that you haven't seen ODU play this year? Every rebound that Butler can muster will be precious. |

Great film. The 4 out of 5 players who did participate, as well as the upperclassmen that appeared were incredibly candid. Rose was great. He came across as the ultimate personification of white America's worst nightmare until you realize, at the end, how strong he was in support of his teammates and coach. Ultimately, it was cool to flashback to my early days of watching college hoops, when these players all seemed larger than life. I'll never forget that Final 4 with Bobby Knight's Indiana, Duke, and a Nick Van Exel led Cinci joining the Fab Five. |

Do you have any rationalization for this pick other than hyperbolic proclomations or is this basically just a guess?

I agree that it doesn't always seem "fair" in terms of totals, but you need to understand that your bet is on the game. Whether it be on a team or the total, the result is reflected in the final score of the game.

Because they looked absolutely stacked to me, at virtually every posisiton.
No offense to Rick, he's one of my favorite coaches and has indeed done an excellent job this year, but make no mistake about it, they are loaded with playmakers.

Ohh. thanks guys for exhibiting multiple sides of rudeness. Condescending Papi and blatantly rude gd. You guys are so helpful. I'm not sure why you commented here since you didn't have an answer or any relevant info to share. However, to answer your question, I saw the number in Las Vegas (where I'm currently located). Ever hear of it? A couple places got real funny with Wofford a few hours before gametime. Some places jumped up to 2 or 3, but it dropped back down before tip. Seems like a couple places might have stuck at 2. Since COC was definitely favored to open, this seemed weird to me. Sorry if this has offended you guys (guess I misunderstood the concept and purpose of this board) and I'm sorry if you took COC, which you probably did, unlike our protagonist. |

After taking a sharper look, it seems like Wofford might be the better team after all. They have a major advantage in FG and FT shooting. I'm still wondering what facilitated that major movement though. |

This number opened up at COC (-1) but is currently at Wofford (-3), even though about 2/3 of the public are backing Charleston. Anybody know what's behind this movement? COC won both regular season meetings, one by 25. I don't see why they wouldn't be favored here. This line is definitely talking. |

I also thank New Mexico. Them and Nebraska were my largest plays of the day.

I love Marshall here. At home against a very young and inconsistent team that has heavy backing from the public. Good luck though, Should be an interesting one.
