The way I understand it, betting on sports is not illegal, accepting the bets is (i.e. the bookie is breaking the law not you).
I could very well be wrong on that though as I'm very much small time, but like all us other degenerates, I have those dreams of striking it big and I looked into the legalities. |

Congratulations. You really are a genius. |

Maybe you had a problem.............but the same problem 4 times? Going for 5? Time to cut your losses........No? I don't think he meant it like that. I think he meant he made a deposit, talked to them 4 times ABOUT THE SAME DEPOSIT and was told it would be in that day and it wasn't. I don't think he meant he got screwed over by them on 4 separate occasions. If he did mean that, then you're right, he's stupid for going back. |

The person I spoke to on chat at DSI said they're not carrying them. However, if they did end up on their site before the games started, this wouldn't be the first time they told me something wouldn't be carried that showed up there. Maybe if enough people ask them on the chat (hint hint).

5dimes has them up. In general though, they'll probably be up tomorrow.

Apologies for the double post. It gave me an error message when I tried to submit so I went back and it wasn't showing up so I submitted again and now they're both there.

Please wait for a site operator to respond.
Danny: Welcome to our Live Chat Department, my name is Danny. How may I be of assistance? Visitor: Hello.
I was just wondering what your minimum bet amounts are. Your website
says $1 and that's what I thought it was, but someone else claimed that
you raised your minimum bet to $100.00 Danny: Minimum deposit is $100, and the minimum bet is $50 on the phone, $1 online Visitor: That's what I thought. Thanks. |

And now they've moved their domain name to betdsi.eu. Very good move. I like it.

And for a deposit, yes there is an area for the cents. Actually, a lot of ATMs have the cents shown for withdrawals too even though they don't actually allow you to withdraw change (I think they do it just so that it's what looks familiar to people, so that they don't end up withdrawing $2,000 when they meant to withdraw $20).

The problem is that you're not really going to get a helpful answer. Bounced checks from 5Dimes are rare, but when they do happen, it's because a processor shut down (either got busted or took the money and ran, etc.) When that happens, there's obviously no advance warning of it and checks just start showing up bounced. 5Dimes is a good book and they'll replace it, but there's not much you can do to verify that the check will go through until it actually goes through. And in the future.... I wasn't being flippant. I've worked in a bank before and a $2700 check is nowhere near as big as you think it is and I've made personal deposits of checks for much larger than $2700 before (not from gambling... yet, but the bank doesn't know where it's from so where it's from is irrelevant). Trust me - if you just deposit the check, especially at an ATM, nobody will bat an eye. Cashing a check, or doing a third party endorsement to have a friend deposit it raises a lot more eyebrows and scrutiny and draws a lot more attention to you. It's like trying to smuggle a bomb on an airplane by deciding you'll wear a turban and hiding it in that. The only possible reason they would ask you about a check deposit would be if they remember you from trying to cash a large check and not wanting to answer questions. If that happens, just do your gambling banking at a different bank.
(And I'm saying all of this because you said you tried to "cash" the check at your bank. I'm assuming by cash, you actually meant cash, but if you were trying to deposit it and they asked you all these questions, then you just need to go to a different bank.) |
