Remember that Jim went to Nevada and challenged Kaepernick to a throwing contest (which Kaepernick won). Jim traded up to get this special talent. Remember that Jim benched Smith when he was 25 for 27 and leading the NFL in passing %. And, yes, if SF wins this SB, the brothers will be 1-1 head-to-head, but they will NOT be even. |

He said he wants to play another year, and he has earned the shot.

Joe Montana said that time slowed down for him in the SBs! 99%+ of mortal players feel time goes quicker in the SB. I put Kaepernick in Montana's class (no other members!). Yes, based only on 9 starts for Kaepernick! I also put Jim Harbaugh in Walsh's class (only two members in that class also!).

Kaepernick has a stronger arm than Wilson, is 6'5" vs 5'11", and faster! The SB will be his tenth start, and I am predicting at least 6 SB wins for Kaepernick (yes, with Jim Harbaugh as the coach).

Yes, it was the "horny cheerleader" bad beat! I still don't believe it!

Yes, Duke +9 1/2, with the ball inside Cin's 10 yard line with about two minutes left, and the score tied, was just a horrible bad beat. But it doesn't come close to my worst bad beat: I had USC -1 1/2 vs Oregon in CBB. USC was up by 7 (this was before the three point shot), with the ball, with about 6 seconds left. Oregon got a steal, and drove to the basket. Here is where it gets unbelievable! A cheerleader (we named her the bad, VERY bad, horny cheerleader) who had a crush on the Oregon player driving to the basket, went out on the court, and hugged the Oregon player! A technical foul!! Two shots (both made). Then the USC coach went on the floor and protested: another technical! Two shots (both, of course, made). Then USC with a 3 point lead and about two seconds left, let Oregon score at the buzzer to win by one point!!! Yes, that was many decades ago, but I still remember listening to the game.

I am on #540 Virginia Tech and #562 Mississippi St, for first halfs and full games. BTW, IMO, everyone should give the rotation number, along with their picks.

I show UNCF at 215-156, 58%, +43 units at one unit per play. That is outstanding for that many plays. However, I've been doing this for 51 years, and, IMO, money management is every bit as important as handicapping. I prefer to bet a smaller % of my bankroll than most as 90% overestimate their %. Believe me, over thousands of bets 54% is the best anyone can do, but 54% is good enough to make a living if you manage your bet size. Good luck to everyone, and thanks to UNCF!

If you make your own power ratings, you can spot true "trap" games. My power ratings have Ind by 1, giving Balt 3 points for the home field. The Gold Sheet also has Balt by 1. NC has Balt by 2. BTW, I bet Ind when they went to +1 on Tuesday.

I like the picks, but where did you find Detroit -3?

Washington is on a 17-4 under run! 9 of the last 11 Washington/Phil games have gone under! Washington cannot score vs poor defenses. Philadelphia has injuries on the offensive line.

I DESTROYED the "sharps" in 2005, and they have never beaten my line in any season. Your version of "sharps" is really just a group of followers of PAST trends. The line is much sharper now. Post "sharp" plays vs Pinny's line. Trust me, they would lose!

You say "sharps" bet these early moves. Trust me, these early moves may be by "sharps", but they are EXTREMELY small bettors. Most of these "moves" occured IMMEDIATELY on VERY small bets.
I will gladly book the "sharps" action as well as the "square" action. Less than 1 % of sports bettors are +EV over their betting history. Yes, I am in that 1 %. |

The "sharps" are all on that GREAT Cincinnati team! Pittsburg is still the best team in the NFL, facing a team they ALWAYS destoy, off a tough loss. A focused favorite is still the best bet in sports! It's fundamentals AND trends that favor Pittsburg! Pittsburg was a 9 1/2 point favorite at Cincinnati last year, and won 38-10. They won 24-10 in 2007, 23-17 in 2006, 27-13 in 2005, and 19-14 in 2004.

We bet SF at +7. TOs are crucial in the NFL, and Singletary is making TOs his # 1 concern.

I simply don't understand your analysis. Pittsburg should have beaten Chicago. They missed two easy FGs, and were -2 in TOs (the team + in TOs was 10-1 ATS last week). And Chicago is better than Cincinnati. The super bowl winner is coming off a loss and facing a team they simply destroy. Plus your trends are hot, and you go against them! Plus you have missed the 4.
