both teams playing very well as of late, but hawks in a tough spot missing bickell, rozy, and kaner for this one.
3rd and 4th lines for both of these teams are excellent (plenty of scoring chances), if hawks start raanta im leaning bruins/over.

mellowman, when did this become a forum for you to air out your bogus conspiracy theories?? 9/11 was an inside job?? are you kidding...? i have an easier time believing aliens helped build the pyramids. let me guess, you watched the "loose change" documentary and suddenly became an expert on international terrorism and modern skyscraper infrastructure. Seriously man, read up on it a little bit more before you make such an offensive and idiotic claim.
ANYWAYS Leaning Raiders here for many of the reasons listed above: seem to be playing w/ newfound motivation the past couple weeks, almost took down matty ice in the dome, cant do much else but the defense can stop the run (MJD), playing @ the black hole, carson palmer/DMC poised for big days. Raiders -4

both teams will try to run the ball with their premier RBs and control the tempo of the game. Rams are 22nd in the league in rushing ypg allowed, seahawks are 2nd, as well as 6th in rushing yards gained/game.
Rams will struggle to move the ball against a stingy hawks D, just like against the Bears. laying pts with a rookie QB on the road against a divisional opponent scares me, as does the short week after an emotional win. I was nervous laying the pts w/ the Ravens on a short week after an emotional win and they came out noticably flat against a divisional opponent and they were at home. hmmmm... On paper it looks like the seahawks should win and cover, but this situation reeks of a letdown spot. Most likely a no-play or small play on the seahawks ML.

Leaning Carolina here. This looked like a trap game when the line opened at NYG -2.5, G-men (good road team) should easily cover against a middling franchise w/ issues on the defensive side of the ball. Now that Hixon and Nicks are out, Panthers will have Cruz doubled 90% of the time and the Giants will have to run the ball. But wait, Diehl and Bradshaw also both out. Even with healthy starters, we all saw how the Giants fare when they can't establish a running game (Dallas, TB). Giants missing way too many weapons to hang with Cam + Panthers O, especially when JPP, Tuck, and Osi are off to a slow start.
Also leaning under. Jswanson is right, Rivera will try to slow this game down as much as possible to limit Giants possessions and control the game. Giants will be forced to pass on running downs with Bradshaw out, leading to a few three-and-outs. Carolina D is nothing to write home about, but with the Giants missing 4 very important offensive players this game will play out very evenly. Play: Panthers ML + Under

I'm just hoping the motivation to not be that team will be just enough for CHA to make it closer than everybody expects, or at least keep it a single digit loss. You're also right in saying this is a bad matchup for the Bobcats, but I'd like to think Paul Silas isn't half braindead and might have caught on to the fact that the Bobcats can't run with the Wizards. I don't know, I just look at this game and see two shitty teams: one due for a win, the other a loss. Let's see how this line wiggles.

Still leaning Char, but waiting to see if this line moves at all.

Granger and Hibbert both out and both had horrible games (2/12 and 2/10 from the field respectively) on 4/21. David West put up 32 to pick up the slack and George Hill has been huge for IND lately, but I don't see the rest of the Pacers picking up the slack again tonight.
They're playing championship ball right now but are in a big letdown spot. There's no way West, Hill, and George carry them on the offensive end again, especially with Granger and Hibbert unable to contribute anything tonight. Even though they barely scored against Philly, they are bonafide stars who demand the attention of the defense at all times, which opens up George and Hill. Detroit's a scrappy team that isn't going to give up much tonight. I see Indiana going cold from 3 for a while with Maxiell and Monroe grabbing everything. This one will be close. Don't expect the Pistons to lay down for this one against a hated division rival, I don't care if the playoffs start in 5 days. If anything, that tells me Vogel might shift it into cruise control for a quarter here or there tonight and against the Bulls on Wednesday. DET +8

Charlotte on this one.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Char needs to win out to avoid finishing with the worst regular season win percentage in NBA history, not to mention they've lost 20 in a row and are about due for a victory. The motivation to not finish as the worst team in pro basketball history will be enough for the Bobcats to at least keep this one close. The Wiz are in a textbook letdown spot here too. They've won three in a row against the Bulls, Heat, and Bucks (granted, without Rose, Deng, Lebron, and Bosh), but they appear to be a team that clearly plays up/down to their competition. If Trevor Booker plays I'l feel a lot less comfortable about this one, so here's to hoping DJ Augustin suits up as well. Char +11? I'll take it.

With the Bucks and huge playoff implications awaiting them on Wednesday, the Knicks starters may spend a little more time on the bench tonight. Shumpert, Melo, and Chandler all played 43+ mins in the OT victory, and with the line moving from 9.5 to 7, I'm thinking the Bulls are the play tonight.
I follow the Bulls closely, and it is their bench, not their first unit, that puts them in front in most games, especially against teams with a short bench (Knicks). Throw in the revenge factor along with the Bulls losing 3 of their last 4 and going 0-3-1 ATS as of late, and I think the Bulls are a solid ML play tonight. Thibs will right the ship and I have little doubt that the bulls will finish first in the East. Parlay them with the Heat for a nice payday.
