Here are a couple notes on my ranges:
- I use ranges on my CBB total projections because I feel it is more realistic and less constricting. I will typically play a game that is far enough from my range, but I don't always hold steadfast to that rule. - My ranges will be different, and can range from 1 to 7 points. Typical range will be 3 or 4 points. - The ranges will be different for a couple of reasons: 1. The higher the total projection is, the more likely the range will be a bit wider. I feel these games are a bit more volitile and apt to move more violently than the lower totals. 2. The smaller the range, the more confident that I am in my number. |

FWIW, I went to the La Salle/Morgan St. game and La Salle looked awful. They are not as quick-paced as last year and lack a consistent offensive catalyst without Harris (Green can do it at times, but not consistently).
Goodridge was far mope effective on D than he was on O. They really struggled to dump it down to him on offense, and he was frustrated. I saw him literally shrugging at times on the offensive end of the floor as if he didn't know what to do.
They also started Green at PG, opting instead to go to Guillendaux off the bench.
I was most impressed with Kimmani Barret - makes the most of his minutes - good shot selection, good from the line, works hard on the boards depsite his size.
I'm on the under here - no real lean on the side. BOL tonight.

November: Sides: Totals: 1-0, +1u Halves: MLs: Overall: 1-0, +1u Yesterday: No plays IUPUI -9 (1.1u to win 1) Think this is a little low based on yesterday's games. Michigan Tech just has zero size anywhere on the court. Both starting guards, Springborn and Geary, stand at 5'10''. Inside, they stand only 6'5'', 6'5'', and 6'6''. Big players will give them a lot of problems, as demonstrated by Sims' 12 rebounds in only 23 minutes yesterday. The size mis-match causes a bunch of problems for Tech. Geary (the 5'10'' guard) had 8 rebound yesterday, which tells me that he is likely being asked to help inside. This could cause open outside shots and fastbreaks for IUPUI. It also makes it nearly impossible for M Tech to drive inside, as evidenced by their 26 3PT attempts yesterday. IUPUI struggled yesterday, hitting only 2-17 from three. They aren't huge in the middle, but they have plenty of size to give M Tech problems. Avery stands at 6'7'', as does Pettiford and Glenn. Alex Young stands at 6'5''. They out-rebounded Northeastern yesterday, and I expect them to do the same here today. IUPUI's newcomers had solid games yesterday. Glenn, the JUCO transfer, had a monster game, scoring 19 points (5-6 FG, 9-11 FT) in only 23 minutes. The freshman Young added 17 points in 24 minutes. However, the major returning players, Avery and Pettiford, combined for only 6 points on 2-10 shooting. They combined for 19 ppg last year. Expect an inspired effort out of IUPUI today as they expect to roll out of here with a win. Improved 3PT shooting along with a sizable advantage on the boards should be enough. IUPUI 71 Michigan Tech 56 |
