UNC Wilmington/Old Dominion?
I know both teams are terrible, but can OD 1-14 at home cover 7.5? Thoughts...

Earthwake are you sure that was a grammatical error made by me or you think my ipad might have auto-suggested the wrong word giving the usage... I'll be sure to proof read next time, I see your more into person measuring than providing helpful info.
I figure lines are generated with the help of computers with massive amounts of historical and current data. If computers are in fact used, then there has to be a formula with variables. If a person was equipped with the formula, better yet the variables used, they would have an advantage and be a more successful capper. |

Clearly your pretty ignorant, "common sense?" So tell me guru, why did Vandy open only plus 1.5. I would bet 2-3 days ago before the line was posted, your common sense didn't predict that. I would be willing to also bet if I told a professional oddsmaker someone told me oddsmaking is common sense, he would tell me that person is a idiot.
If you have something informative and want to share, please do but don't post b.s. nonsense.... Thanks

I've heard people say lines are based on kenpom's power ratings, I've heard people say the home court is worth three points, etc. I know opening lines are based on a statistical formula or a point system, does anyone know what that formula or system is?

Hard to tell in the Fla./Ark. example, beyond the money, records, and titles these coaches have egos as well... Arkansas, having the top team in the nation against the ropes, was probably not going to quit hammering until the bell rang. Back to my ego point, if Arkansas' head coach had to choose between winning by 50 and potentially losing the game (not being conservative, with a big lead) or winning by 8-10 and getting a guaranteed win (being conservative with a big lead, clock management), I'm sure his ego was screaming, "beat these biotches by 50." And to those that think games don't get rigged in some way, well thats already been proven on multiple levels... |

Mike what's up buddy, I see your struggling as of late, you think you made system adjustments a little prematurely? I just remember you starting off hot as hell but then I recall you started posting comments referencing changes to the original system. I don't know man, almost seems as system plays lost you made adjustments, might need to go back to what worked in the beginning.
Guess my point is, it would be nice to learn something from every loss and think you can make adjustments so it never happens again but that's not realistic. Just thinking, the adjustments have made your system more complex which to me is the same as over thinking the game. Like I said before might need to retry the original system and go back to having fun. I'm no expert, just a little food for thought... Hope you get back on track, GL!

Babyicedog, your a real piece of garbage... Trinimike has made no claims of being the best nor has he ever guaranteed picks. Also if you thought you were ever going to find someone you could follow 100% of the time no matter what, without doing some of your own due diligence, your a piece of garbage and a idiot.... I'm assuming you followed blindly even though the line moved on most occasions, right? Well, contrary to what your uneducated, non-gambling skilled behind believes 1 point can easily make a good bet a no bet... (I.e. Virginia/N.C State 1/28/13, -2.5 - -3.5, Mike won your dumb behind probably lost)
Guessing that happens to you pretty often, huh loser...

Not claiming a system or anything but look for those situations in the future it's hit a lot for me over the years. If Boston was -5 or less I probably wouldn't have touched it, at 7.5 I was skeptical but jumped aboard, at 8, 9, or more I would have liked Boston even more.

Might be alright play buddy, I like teams giving a bunch of points at home after getting beat by that team on the road. (i.e. clippers giving portland 11 after getting beat by portland a night or two before) Rondo out, getting 7, and they already beat celtics, sounds like kings would be the easy pick right... Just might get on it too, good luck!
