I really can't explain, everything is so surreal. I went to meet my birthfather and his wife this weekend. His wife said that he was terrified that I would be upset at him. He expained that he probably wouldn't have been a good father in the early years (bad friends, too much partying, a year in jail) but has always wanted to get in touch. Once he got his life back on track he made money in a tech business, his wife said he worked ass off. Anyways, he is so happy now and my daughter calls him Grandpa, which was funny because he is a 60 year old kid. He is retired and spends his time either snow skiing, sailing, or on jet skis and atv's. Not only does he make the best margaritas but he also partakes in a little medical herb too! He told his wife that I am more mature than he is. We discoverd many things that we both have in common, unfortuntly it wasn't sports. We watched some of the green bay game, I placed a bet on the over 20.5 completions for Rodgers. He has never gambled but his wife plays poker. He can't stay seated long enough to watch a game, he has to be outside playing with his toys or in the pool. It still feels so very strange for me, this really cool old guy is my dad! But putting my life's puzzle finally together feels very satisfying. I do not know exactly how rich he is but when talking about his life he said he sold his business for over 20 million and lives of his investments. He wants to take us all to Disneyworld and sailing in the Carribean next month. By the way my name is not Chris but I have been a full fledge degenerate member of covers for over 5 years. Did I say I get to keep my hair

Wow! My wife sent an email saying she was looking for him, it identified him and told a little about me and my life. She requested medical info and went on to say the I have always wondered about him but too shy ever to try to make contact and felt that now would be a good time. Within 2 hours we got this response: Chris & Wife,
My wife xxx & I were very pleased to receive your letter.
She has known that I have a son. I contacted xxxx (my uncle/brother) about 19 years ago about Chris and he stated, " xxxxxx you are just a sperm donor. " I took from that conversation that maybe lines of communication would be rejected. I would really enjoy talking & meeting both of you & daughter xxxxx, if possible . I have no other children.
He went on to talked about his familie's health, gave his phone numbers and sent a picture of him and his wife. I get to keep most of my hair
Shit head uncle(brother 22 years older). I was at college at that time.
I wrote back and said this was rather exciting and that I wasn't much for writing letters or talking on the phone and suggested we get together. We are going to meet on Saturday.
I discovered from my moms yearbooks that he and my mom were friends for many years in junior and high school. The junior year (High School Prom) was approx 8.75 months before i was born.
I do not care about any possible inheritance, that's why I married into money . Just kidding. But it is intriguing how wealthy he might be. We know the value of his home is around 7 million.
I hope he likes sports, we can watch a game together this weekend.

I also feel it would probably be like meeting a stranger too, but the more I think about it the more I think I might like a relationship, especially since my parents (grandparents) and siblings (uncles) have all psssed away in the last ten years, I do not have any one left, excet my wife's family. My daughter would get a new set of grandparents and I would definetly like to get medical info. I have located a business email for him and am going to send an email tomorrow. How do I start it? |

In '68 my mom got pregnent in her senior year of high school. My birthfather and her both wanted to get married, but their fathers wouldn't let them. My birthfather was talked into signing away his rights by his father I know this from one of my moms school friends. I was raised by my mom unitil I was 5 and then she died and was raised by my maternal grandparents. Recently, my wife was researching her family tree and did some research on me and found him. He is 60 years old, married and has no children. Both my parents (grandparents are deseased). I'm wondering about starting a relationship with him. Anyone been in this kind of position? |
