I'm going to Vegas next weekend and I want to take advantage of these lines...just not sure how.

I asked for 100K in your demands, but I'll settle for a cool 50K. Maybe you can get the I Hate SJP Club Members to pony up some of the money they've been making on sports betting this year. You are so sure of yourself, so why not take a loan out and risk it? Right? You're positive I'm not who I say I am, so do it, big boy. Let me know when you have the money and we'll get this party started. Nighty night. SJP You're funny. I'll admit I got heated up and saying "any amount" was foolish of me. I should have known you would take that opportunity to name an outlandish amount knowing I wouldn't ever wager that much. I gave you the perfect loophole...stupid on my part. Regardless, anyone who read that thread knows you're not a woman. |

SJP turned down $1000 for a live webcam Q&A to prove her gender.

I just realized in the injury situation above, pretend the Pats lose the hypothetical game by 5 points, both bets lose. Bad strategy.
The key is to find a team who ends up performing better than their pre-season lines indicate, so you have great value in your lines AND the middle opportunity. |

Love the Ravens, too.
Saw the following on twitter, not sure if its accurate but if it is, its a nice bit of info... Last 11 Super Bowl losers are 0-11 ATS in season openers, 2-9 SU. |

I think the best strategy would be to choose 1 team that you think has the potential to exceed expectations on the season and bet them every game. That way you are taking a team that is probably going to be getting points in the majority of their games, and if they happen to surprise you - you'll be sitting pretty with points when said team may end up as a favorite down the line.
Also, wouldn't an injury possibly help the case if you're looking for a middle opportunity? Lets say you bet every game pre season for the Pats and Brady goes down week 1. You'll already have them as a favorite in almost every game, and then Brady goes down and you may get them as a dog, too. Maybe they go from a 4 point fave to a 4 point dog on a random game...thats a nice middle. Am I just talking out of my ass? |

Most of you know Vegas just recently released the lines for EVERY game for every week of the NFL season. Some of you may have also heard that the casinos were packed full of bettors with wads of cash ready to take advantage of these brand new lines...the spreads were literally adjusting by the second as big bettors were placing their future wagers on these games.
So my question is, does somebody know/have a strategy for wagering on future games this early? Hypothetically, if you bet on a big handful of games (lets say you pick a single team and wager on them for all 16 games right now), it would give you an opportunity for some huge middles....and worst case you just lose juice on em. I'm just brainstorming and have zero experience with this, but it seems like there could be some huge value in this (and there must be if there are lines out the door at casinos for this early action). I'm also assuming it'd be tough finding an online book with every game available, so a trip to Vegas might be required. Thoughts? |

Wow, did the thread where SJP got called out and exposed about not being female get deleted? Funny, covers, funny.

Heat -4.5 UNDER 187 UNDER 94.5 1H Heat Team Total U48.5 1H I'm on the totals bigger than the side. I do think the Heat win tonight, but we've yet to see a true blowout and I don't know if we'll see one at all in this series....hence the apprehension on Miami covering two possessions. I'm comfortable predicting the Mavs don't shoot quite as well as last game and the Heat buckle down on D. The pace should return to what we've seen the first 4 games. Good luck, fuckers. |

My local uses Pinny or Sportsbook lines. I cant find team totals on either. Am I stupid?

SJP, I don't have 100k to wager (as I'm sure you don't either, but thats not the point). I'll put $1000 up that say's you won't do a live webcam and answer questions on the fly. I'll send paypal or a check or whatever to a neutral party. If you agree, you send the same $1000, and if you A) fail to do it by a certain date or B) sound like a total idiot (ie any normal hot girl talking about sports), I get paid. If you can answer questions with any reasonable amount of sense, you'll have earned my $ and respect. Deal? |

You can just set up a webcam (tinychat or something) and answer peoples questions live. |

Touche. I still maintain that if Lebron is actually himself we might be in a different situation, but I can't take anything away from the Mavs. They sure are fun to watch.
