Please Partake: Do you believe the NBA and Vegas are involved in determining certain outcomes of certain games?

Do people realize that going from 15 point lead to 4 point lead is as simple as a 4-6 possessions / field goals?
As for these other claims, can we for a moment just think about all the logistics it would take to consistently rig NBA games, in the way it's presented in this forum? With each new person / player / official involved there is significant risk and the price to pay them off. This mean's that whomever is organizing has to make significant ROI (return on investment) to take these chances.
Now, let's take a look at a sport like tennis (where there is incidents of throwing matches). There is 1 person that you need to pay off. Typically, that person is earning between $100,000 - $500,000 annually, but still paying travel expenses and room and board (since thats typically on the play unless they have a sponsor which the challenger and lower ATP players typically don't). This person MAY accept a bribe of $20,000 - $50,000 to throw the match. |

its really basic, but understand the learning curve having gone through it. Simply, its an internet currency / transfer of wealth. So basically you get a unique string of letters and numbers called your wallet address, and it also links to a QR code as well (funds will go to / from same wallet). Wallets are where you hold the funds, exchanges are where you transact (USD to BITCOIN, CAD to BITCOIN, and vice versa - its called Fiat to Crypto exchange) There are several exchanges but Coinbase is probably the most well known in North America. So, you withdraw from 5dimes, get the appropriate wallet address from your Coinbase account that you set up, and copy and paste it into the 5dimes cashier withdrawal. They do some confirmations on their end, will email you before they withdraw so they can confirm the address. If you have questions, feel free to email me at aagold7@gmail.com
Best to you man and congrats on the winnings

However, I think you lost your edge and seems like you're chasing. Look at the quote above: "This total will go up" - so if that's sincerely your prediction, why wouldn't you wait until gametime to get the total. It clearly points to your amateurism in this space and its disappointing that you're leading others astray.

One thing i wish we discussed more was how teams matchup against eachother.
This matters more than you think, and I'm wondering if books have the full capacity to that into consideration. What I mean by that is, like people pointed out, Utah was close to beating GS last time out, dispite the poor shooting from Mitchell, and without Mitchell they get blown out. Well, maybe he has poor shooting because Klay and Livingston guard him and long reach causes Donovan problems. I'm just providing 1 example, but I wish this was discussed more in these threads. The actual Xs and Os of the game and how it effects the result.

This is a really great thread, thanks for creating it.
I'm interested in people's thoughts on Brooklyn. Brooklyn has a solid squad mixed with athleticism, consistency, and veteran leadership. They have 2 good/excellent scoring PGs in Dinwiddle and DRuss and strong athletic players all around. They recently added Rodions Kurucs to the rotation and hes been solid. I don't want to really touch on Caris Lavert, but man i like his style and was sad when he went down. I thought that would really deflate the team, but they actually went the other way with it and have been playing really solid. I think the fact that they learned hes going to be fine and may be back this season has given them some extra juice. So this brings me to the question: what am i missing here? -1.5 vs the Bulls, who hate their coach (WTF was that about him choking out Jerami Grant) - this guy is nuts and lost the locker room. And levine just went out for 2-4 weeks with an ankle injury. Sure Sure maybe he was the problem and now that he went down maybe that will bring them together. That's all fine and good, but what happens when its time to play and score buckets? Who will get them 20 a game? who will get into double digits. I just don't see it. I haven't locked in Nets -1.5 but damn, shouldn't this line be -4.5?

Hi guys,
Good luck all and I like some of the plays posted above. A very nice payout attracted my attention and I wanted to share it with the thread to see your thoughts (especially the ones that handicap soccer). Here's the thing, I used to play soccer very competitively but really struggle to handicap it. Anyway:
(i hope this paste job works) Atletico vs Bayern - Champions League - 1st Leg - 245pm EST Atletico is home for the 1st leg in a 2 leg time that sends the winner to the championship final (only 1 match for those who care). The line above jumped out at me as I saw this game ending in 1-1 scoreline. Bayern usually plays open soccer and I feel like Guardiola (sp?) will want to show up barcelona a bit and this will leave them exposed in the 1st half. I expect the game to tighten up in the 2nd half and get a result out of the game. Remember, 1-1 is a great result for both teams so I like having that on our side. We're getting +1450 on this play... seems to have tremendous value to me... but then again I only cap baseball. What do you guys think? |

If it goes back up I'd like to get Rockets +9 first half. I think it would be a mistake to wager on the rockets. If you expect them to hang around the over is the better play. I'm not sure if you watched the team his year but they're bad and have no chemistry. You don't just magically get chemistry because it's the playoffs. Also, Dwight sucks. Forget his Orlando days and ask what has he done for me lately. Warriors are just significantly better all around and if it wasn't for the easiest last 5 games of the season the rockets wouldn't be here. Do yourself a favor and play warriors -13 and the over. I saw Lakerz write up from yesterday and it had no substance. He basically said the rockets will turn it on cause it's playoff time. Sorry, through experience I know that's not how it works.

Hey gents. I have another $$$$ for today. I've learned over my years in the game it's better to ride trends than fight them. Teams aren't due for wins, rather teams that lose in certain situations will keep losing in those situations.
I apply this theory to the St. Louis Blues in the 1st home playoff game this year Vs he Blackhawks. Over the last few regular seasons the blues have performed at an elite level, then they get to the playoffs and crumble, as will be the case in the series. We're getting a great number for this game and I'll ride the Blackhawks here. $$$$blackhawks +120

Hey all. A few things I wanted to address. Ive been a member of this forum for many years, but try to post rarely. Most of the time I've found that on covers I have to be very selective with when and where I post because as we all know the nonsense on this forum is top notch .
That being said, this is one of threads I read every day... Because it adds value. Covers have two things that take away from its true value. 1) people posting arbitrary picks with no strategy/process/write-up - this is worthless to the audience 2) spammers that come in to discourage and bash posters - flooding the forum with nonsense. This frustrates the posters that want to add value and soon enough you have 5 pages of 1 line posts that are the equivalent of 'told you you'd be wrong' What I love about this thread is that you've been able to control both to a minimum, so even the the actually thread's record is about 50%, the insight provided for each game is really where the value lies. Anyone can provide picks but few can provide value through educating their readers. Let's keep it going, and trust me when I tell you the MLB is where true handicappers see opportunity. If you're able to maintain the thread for the year it'll be worth it's weight in gold. I guess since I'm here I might as well post a play I like. I'll take Jordan Zimmerman 1st 5 -.5 +120 (may be able to get a better line). This 1 seems straight forward. A overhyped yanks offense after they banged homers in their tiny home stadium. I have always like miggy and the Tigers in day games at comerica so I'm just going to ride that trend as well. I'm playing 1st 5 since I don't trust the Tigers bullpen - who does? (Not even the manager lol). I think Zimmerman can give them 7 though so full game is a good play too imo. $$$$ Zimmerman -.5 1st 5 +120 Cheers |

Im with you and vegas .. We got this my man How much volume do you think is on this match? I would venture 1% of the Super Bowl money but regardless, it's a very small amount. I can't see Vegas benefiting much from setting trap lines. Also, even though the split is 75/25% (I'm taking you for your word here), that doesn't necessarily mean that paying out on Cibulkova is profitable for them.

hey man, its tough on covers sometimes with their policies. i wouldn't leave covers altogether but just use it as 1 source of information like twitter and others. I'm on twitter mostly for my plays and i've found after a little while of digging you are able to find some strong handicappers to chat and discuss plays with.

This just isn't the case as its nearly impossible to see a scenario which would allow it to happen in addition to the fact that these are all very talented competitive athletes. I doubt they can just "shut-off" that competitive nature and 'tank' the game.

1st off, congrats on having such a promising future this late in the season. I had this last year with a WS future on Kansas City to win and SF to win. Sure I got extremely lucky that they met in the world series so it was a hedge in itself, but even before then I was considering hedging. Here's my advice to you.... DO NOT HEDGE until the World Series, there is not reason really, and you're ruining the experience of watching the games. Let it ride, trust your decision, and see what happens.
Just my two cents.. good luck!!! |
