Nice thread. Like the pick! GB D not good enough to lay a TD on the road.

Im an eagles fan and not afraid to bash them when warranted. However, I know they look bad and they are average right now, the perception is worse than reality. Despite their obvious flaws (O-Line and poor linebacker play), they hung with Atlanta on the road (actually dropped a first down on 4th and 4 with Kafka driving them nicely). Against SF they had the game in hand. Just rewatched it last night and it should have been an easy W. It looks like they can't stop the run, but they were for 2.5 quarters as they went up 23-3. They also drove the ball almost every time in the second half. Missed 2 FG and fumbled at the end. Believe me, I don't think they are elite this year, but they are above average and will be pretty PO'd after handing over the game last week. Also, Cullen Jenkins called the team out for thinking they had it won at halftime. I very rarely say to take the Eagles, but this is a nice spot for it. If they don't give their max effort this week, season over. There's my 2 cents. GL!

I am an eagles fan. Take Atlanta +1. They are at home and should be ready after last week's lousy effort. My eagles looked good running the ball for a period of time in the second half and their defense got pass rush pressure. Vick looked good as well considering the exteme lack of protection. Those were the only highlights. Rams ran the ball very well even when Jackson went down. They also had receivers open all day long (the likes of Amendola, Gibson, etc). Wide open. Too many drops from open guys. Rams were just as good if not better than Philly. Philly O-line will hopefully improve as the season goes on, but they are not ready yet. Take Atlanta. |

Larry, Andre and Calvin at the top. Roddy White, Greg Jennings, DJax, and Brandon Marshall in the next tier. Wayne had a magnificent career, but is no longer in this class. |

McNabb, LOL! Can't believe those "stupid" Eagles traded him within their division. They'll pay for that one.

Lovin Rex right now. One more win by the Jets and I can actually watch the Super Bowl. I'll definitely suck his toes then.

Ziggy Hood for the Steelers acted like quite a tool. They were down 2 scores and he makes a tackle - big fn deal. They won though. Just was annoying as hell and I was rooting for them (well, against the Ravens) The Branch reference was good too. Welker acted like a chump as well. You woulda thought they were ahead.

I'll need that explained to me. They are overrated, I guess. O-line is not good and they lost MLB Stew Bradley recently. Made a marginal defense bad. |

Holding out for the hook. What a bonus that would be.

Its very easy (It didn't used to be). The last NFL bet I put in was Tennesse against Indy. My man said "who?". "Oh, its that who Indy is playing?, well, I'm rooting for you". I love when he says that.
