Tax question. In the process of buying my house a couple of years ago I negotiated the seller to include a snowblower ($1400 value) in the sale to make up for a defect in the deck (which was going to cost about the same to fix). Sold the blower a year later for less than FMV ($700). Is this taxable income? Thanks |

I guarantee no coach has EVERRRRR done this. If you fail it ramains a one score game. |

Starting playing with a local recently using betcapri. Was referred by a friend who has been using it for a while. There actually giving a 10% discount on losses until you win. So if I lose 1000 in first week I only pay 900. If I win 3000 next week I wont be eligible for bonus until get back into red overall. Anyways I'm getting a bit skeptical about the website. First week tried to make around 20 plays. When I get to confirmation screen the odds/juice have changed against me in 6 of 7 plays. Not once in my favor. Seems a bit shaddy. Anyone else have an experience similar with this. Thanks

Not going to do all the math but here is a little. Your first senerio when you say dealer has 40% chance of busting. Dealer has 14. There are 8 different run of cards: 10 Bust-8 Bust- 6 No Bust- 4 No Bust- 2/10 Bust- 2/8 Bust- 2/6 Bust- 2/4 No Bust. So the dealer will bust 5 times and not bust 3 times. 3 divided by 8= 37.5%. Not 40%. Senerio #2 player takes an 8. Leaves 6 different possibilities- 10 Bust- 6 No Bust- 4 No Bust- 2/4 No Bust- 2/6 Bust- 2/8 Bust. 3 Busts and 3 No Busts this is 50% not 25%.

What I mean is: In the example it has dealer with a 16, you with 13, 3rd base with 14 and says that there are 5 cards jq5k10, fine. I get how the odds dont change. But lets change it around a little bit. Lets say that you have 13, 3rd base has 12 and dealer has 14 and there is a 2-4-6-8-10 in the deck. Currently the dealer has a 40% chance to bust. Lets say the player takes an 8 now the dealer has a 25% chance to bust. Or Lets say instead the player takes a 6, now the dealer has a 50% chance to bust. Do you see why his play now effects you? Please correct me if im wrong. And also can we assume if the player hits a 12 then they will hit a 14? So then they take another card which is a 4 so now the dealer has a 66% chance to bust. this improves your odds to win but but not enough to compensate for the times when the player takes the 8 or 10 and dealer is only busting 25% of the time. OK, I'm not going to do all the math but your math is definitely off. Your senerio #1 "dealer is 40% to bust" WRONG! Senerio #2 "dealer is 25% to bust" WRONG! Senerio #3 "dealer is 50% to bust" WRONG! Your math skills are not so good. |

Thanks Vanzack. I knew you would be on the correct side on this one. Is it not amazing trying to explain these things to some of these people. Kind of along the lines of the hedging thread. LOL

The house edge goes up against the player playing poorly but has no effect on someone playing properly. The cards are RANDOM. Why can't you people understand that.

The play by any person in the long run will not change the odds. |

Haven't played the game in 6-7 years since playing poker but I always got a kick out of players yelling at other players for playing poorly. Let me say I know how to play basic strategy but someone please tell me how taking a hit or splitting when your not suppossed to has a negative impact on the table. IT IS RANDOM. IN THE LONG RUN IT WILL HELP YOU AS MANY TIMES AS IT WILL HURT YOU. How can people have a hard time understanding this.

How many people in here wish they never ever started gambling..or stopped at a young age?
in General Discussion Hell no. Have done ok but like someone said waaaaaaaaaaay to much time spent on this shit. Effects everything from your relationships with your loved ones, your career, tour health, etc. Look at it this way. When your on your death bed will you look back and wish you had spent more time with your family/kids or gambled more. |

Looking to buy a Wii for Christmas. Have a four year old son. What do I need. Is it smart to buy a bundle or just the basic console and add on. Thanks

LMAO. No juice on parlays. Pretty funny stuff. Juice is actually paid by the winner of a bet. If you want to win $100 in vegas you hand the clerk $110. If you win the clerk pays you $210. If you lose you risked $110 and lost $110. Maybe this will make you understand things a bit better.
