So that was why he was so excited, wouldn't matter though cause even if Bama were to win there is no chance of Oklahoma losing tonight. |

Do you even watch football? There has been only 1 team to score a TD on the starting defense for the Gators since the LSU game. They are ranked in the top10 for a reason. (Bama makes 2 I guess I should say) |

As far as who is the better coach between Saban and Meyer, remember Meyer has never in his career had less than 8 wins in a season. The 8 win season was while at Bowling Green he has yet to have less then 9 wins in a season while coaching in the SEC. He took a 5-6 Utah team and lost only 2 games in 2 years earning National Coach of the Year in 03 and 04. Saban's win percentage is 69% versus Meyer's 82%. I would say that leans toward Meyer being the better coach. Saban may have more experience but to say he is better at least have some sort of reason as to why instead of blind homerism. (That was not directed at you Mkan but all the others who have been saying that Saban is better.) |

You guys realize Alabama's offense is not that good right? I see a good number of you that just expect Bama to run all over Florida which I think is rather funny. Yes Florida has a weak DL and it has been the only weakness in that defense. However Florida has one of the best LB cores in the nation led by the best LB in the SEC not to mention a secondary that gets to the ball very quickly and hits like LBs. Bama has not seen a defense like what Florida has all year. Bama will not be able to drive down the field with just the run, JPW will need the best game of his career to win this game. The only bright spot that Bama has going for it is Arenas returning kicks the last couple of games Florida has not been covering very well. While Bama may have a great D the thing you need to remember is that Florida plays great Offense and Defense, that said have fun in New Orleans Bama fans.

This is the worst possible matchup for a team like Alabama. Florida's defense should easily keep Bama's offense in check enough for Florida to get a early lead and then the game will be pretty much over. Bama is a great team don't get me wrong but JPW doesn't have the ability to carry that offense by himself and if Florida jumps to an early lead and have to abandon the run then the game will spiral out of control very very fast. Everyone keeps talking about how Bama has the best D that Florida has seen and while that may be true every team Florida has played since the Ole Miss game has said that and everyone of them has given up over 40 points. The key matchup is not Florida's offense but Florida's defense vs Bama's offense. Bama has a chance if they can move the ball efficiently against Florida but it is not likely hence the large spread.

I am bout to have back surgery so I will not but able to post but as soon as I get back I will continue this debate on how you believe UGA has any chance in this game.

Funny you mention 1983 since I was born that year so it is hard for my memory to go past then.
You are crazy if you think UGA will come anywhere close to 47 against Florida's D. Please bring up any stat you like that you feel may give UGA the edge. Funny how the only thing you try to bring up from my whole post is what happened over 20 years ago. This year Florida is simply better in every way to UGA and will prove that this weekend.

Florida:
Passing: Tim Tebow (1415) Rushing: Jeffrey Demps (357) Receiving: Percy Harvin (429) Georgia: In what way do you think UGA has a better offense than Florida? Last I checked Florida ranks higher in scoring offense and defense nationally. If I am not mistaken they lead the SEC in both. Stafford may be a better Pro prospect but in college it is not even close. Tebow has a better completion percentage, y/a, and td/int ratio plus has the ability to run when needed. Tebow has lower total yards because of the field position the special teams gives us and we haven't had to rely on him like last year. AJ better than Harvin is quite possibly the funniest thing I ever read on this site. I don't even feel the need to argue that because even if you are a delusional Dawg fan you cannot be serious. He might be a better pure WR but AJ is no where near the caliber of football player Harvin is. I will say that Moreno is a beast and one of the best in the SEC but you are comparing him to only one of the Gators RBs. We have 3 and if you count Tebow for short yardage situations 4. Florida's rushing offense > Georgia's rushing offense. Just to throw out some interesting stats about Demps his ypc is almost double that of Moreno and the fact he averages over 45+ yards on touchdown runs is quite the stat for a freshman. In other words Florida is simply better in every aspect of the game this year Offense, Defense, and Special teams. Also when was the last time UGA won back to back games against Florida? I honestly can't remember was it in the 80s? UGA won last year so we got at least 3-4 years before we need to worry about the dogs winning against Florida. Remember UGA has won only 3 of the last 18, it is sad it is even still considered a rivalry between the 2 teams. |

I will admit that I am extremely biased when it comes to the Gators, I got burnt badly last week even though I knew the history of UF in the state of MS. I let my love for UF cloud my judgement. The best thing about this game is that close game last week. I look for Urban to put up as much points as possible to get the pollsters to disregard last week as a fluke. He realized last year that in some cases just winning and not dominating may cost you a shot at a BCS game. I see it being 24-10 or so in the 4th qtr then a late surge to make is 34(or more)-10. I doubt a back door cover happens. |

I do agree with the play but I do not see WVU anywhere near USC or VY era Texas. WVU has a extremely powerful offense and it would be even better once they put both Devine and Slaton in the back field at the same time but until they learn to play some defense they will not be in the same category.
Once Rich learns how to properly use both Devine and Slaton they will be virtually unstoppable on offense. It is almost scary looking at the potential of that 3 headed monster of an offense and thankfully he has yet to unleash it.
While I do like USF and I am extremely impressed with what they have accomplished I just do not seem them covering this time.

I have a 12 and 15 team teaser but don't feel like posting all that. I just want to see if anyone agrees with my 4 and 5 team parlays.
My 5 team:
Bama +1.5
Arizona State -14
Kentucky -24
Oklahoma -23
Troy -13
My 4 team:
Bama +1.5
Kentucky -24
Lsu -41.5
Oklahoma -23
I hate putting the same teams in more than one parlay but I just do not see those not covering.

Forgot to mention UF's defense may be young and inexperienced put they play very well against the run and Auburn will have trouble moving against that defence. |

Having that in Florida players' minds is a bad thing for Auburn. Remember that game was a fluke. Auburn won without a single offensive TD and a bad call at the end saved them. UF will have the revenge factor going for them plus it is at home. UF by 3 TDs easy. |

I think UF wins big on this one. Revenge from last year and I heard a rumor that Urban plans on letting Deonte play. He said he had earned playing time in practice and Deonte could very well be just as dangerous as Percy. Deonte was the fastest player coming out of high school last year clocked electronically at a blazing 4.28 40time at a Nike camp. |

Looks like UF awakened alright. I never would have thought UF would have killed them that badly. Tebow just scored again! |

Troy's defense? Arkansas and UF blasted Troy the first 2 games. I do not believe that OSU is better offensively then either Ark or UF, but if you are betting on Troy's defense I would like to know what film you are watching. |

I was wondering that same thing. How can Florida's most dangerous players get a C ranking? Percy even at 80% is still going to be the most explosive player on that field. Harvey is considered by some, the best end in the nation.

One thing about the Andre injury, while it does hurt it is not nearly as bad as you would think. UF's WR core is extremely deep. UT though lost one of their starting corners and I doubt UT is as deep at that position as UF is with WRs. UF and the Over is my picks. I am worried about one thing though I think UF's defense maybe stronger than it looked in the past 2 weeks. All the talk of a shoot out and how UF will not be able to stop UT maybe the deciding factor in getting that D to settle down and play great, Urban is very good about getting quotes from the media and forums to get his team fired up ( for instance, holding the #1 team in the nation last year under a total of 100yards in the national championship game)
