JO is 17-18 points, 9-10 boards, and 2 blocks a game. Not to mention being a physical presence in the paint and a low post scoring threat. Whoever doesn't see that JO is the perfect fit for Toronto, doesn't know shite about basketball.

Jermaine O'neal is actually a 6 time all star, which is very impressive. Injury concerns are the only issue with JO. But is he any more or less injury prone than TJ Ford? He's not. Also with Ford gone, that will give the team to Jose Calderon fr 35 + minutes a game. Rasho is in this deal because of his inflated salary. Even with a deep draft, you cannot expect to draft a NBA starter 17th overall.
This is the PERFECT TRADE for Toronto. There is no way that they could have gotten a better quality player than JO for the package that has been put together.

Kevin McHale is the GM for the Timberwolves. There have been many comparisons between Kevin Love and Mchale. Their games are very similar. I would not be shocked if Kevin Love went third overall to Minnesota. That would most likely happen if Beasley goes #2. I don't think Minny can pass on Beastly at #3, but who knows, stranger things have happened in sports.
If Mayo goes #2, then this draft will be insane.

Beasley is a 6'7" Power forward. If he were 6'10", no doubt he would be the #2 overall pick. It will be a very interesting draft this year. Hell, i even heard that there is a possibilty that Kevin Love will go 3rd overall. Meaning that Beasley could even slip to 4th, though a long shot. |

Hutch, Actually Beastley has made it public that he does not want to play for Minnesota.

Drafting 2nd overall, the Heat will be acquiring a impact player that will improve their team.
I think this is a win-win-win scenario for Miami. They can't go wrong with Rose, Beastly or Mayo.
Rose is a shoe-in to be drafted 1st overall. Its no coincidence that the books that offer props on the Draft now have Rose listed at -800, compare that to -150 money, which is where the line was a month ago.
It will be Mayo or Beastly. As crazy as some people might think that i am. I would draft OJ Mayo unless my team was desperate for a big. I think that Beastly will have a ton of difficulties on the defensive end during his first few years especially. OJ Mayo was seemingly born with a NBA ready game. He will need to work on his decision making and defence, but should fit in perfectly along side DWade.

I love this decision by the Heat. They are in need of a point guard. While OJ is not a traditional PG, combine him with D Wade in the backcourt and you got two players who are capable of doing everything on a basketball court. People seem to forget what type of high school prospect OJ Mayo was. He could have been the #1 overall pick if he had enterted the NBA draft as a junior in high school, at 16 or 17 years old. He was a Lebron James type prospect in high school.
Beasley is undersized for the Power Forward position in the NBA. He will no doubt be a excellent pro but i do not see the same impact he had at the college level transferring to the NBA.
The offence is there, Beastley is blessed with a ton of offensive talent and will produce stats for sure. But on the defensive end he will struggle against the taller players at his position or the faster players at the small forward position.

I heard a rumour that the Miami Heat are strongly considering drafting OJ Mayo with the 2nd overall pick. This is in the event that Derrick Rose goes #1, which is expected.

Abond777, You stated that Romania's only win in the past 10-20 games against Netherlands was in qualifying. Hate to break it to you, but wins from 20 years ago, don't mean squat. this is a what have you done lately world. In the past two meetings, Romania drew once, and won the other. That 2-0 win in World Cup qualifying was from 2005. The past history between the teams was from 10-20 years ago.
this Dutch team is immensly talented. They have shown to not only possess great individual players, but fantastic team play. Still though, when incorporating 3 or 4 or more new starters in a lineup, there will be a natural drop off. This Romania team is better than most give credit for. They have a ton of experience playing together. They held France in check after the first 20 minutes. The Italians had more ball possession and more shots, but few were actually on net. Romania will play its best game of the tournament today, hopefully pulling out a win.

Conspiracy theory aside,
Romania (+130) is my play here. They have shown the ability to play at a high level against two very talented squads(France,Italy). Romania has played a solid defensive game thus far, not trying to do too much, defence first and counter attacking. I don't expect much to change. If the Romanians score the first goal, then expect them to play extremely defensive minded.
Dutch will be resting some players, and basically will be playing their B team. I am not certain as to which players are going to sit as of now, but i would assume that at least four starters will be rested. They have looked phenominal in the first two games, but this will be a different Dutch team, one that doesn't have the same chemistry as the normal line-up. You can hide one or two new starters in a team. But when the team is incorporating four or five new starters into a well oiled machine, there will be chemistry problems. And i assume Van Nistelrooy and Sneijder will be rested, if this does occur, then that will be a big blow to what the Dutch want to do. The offence basically revolves around those two. I have heard internet reports that Robben will start, but i doubt that he will finish. I also doubt that they risk a second yellow card with Oijer, and De Jong aswell. We're looking at at least four different starters, probably more.
These two teams played each other twice in qualifying, Romania won 1-0 at home, and the game in Holland was a 0-0 draw. Romania finished in first place in qualifying, Dutch were second.
2 Units on Romania +130 Win
