Well it has been a roller coaster ride this season. The WNBA improved from last season with the players, rookies, results and competitiveness across all teams. The crowd attendances were down yet again but I think the play overall was better than last season. Olympic break didn't do much good for some teams but that only happens once every 4 seasons. The new playoff format stinks, I understand what they are trying to do which I agree on because the 2 best teams that deserve to be in the finals regardless of conference have made it. I just feel that the Liberty were hard done by and should at least get at least a 3 game series to prove themselves. Stewart is absolute class, and she will become the leagues best eventually. Her rookie season is one of the best I have seen. Not only did she score points, she grabbed boards and did so many other things on the court. EDD had a stand out season but only really scored points, Stewart is the real deal. My most improved team and one to look out for next season if they keep their core players is the Sun. New coach, new offensive structure and a lot of new rookies. Keep your eyes on this team in the future. Disappointing team for me, the Wings. You don't have a roster of Johnson, Diggins, Sims, Paris and a few others and finish 2nd last overall. Williams must go IMHO. I also think a big trade is on the cards for Angel, I personally think she will end up at Indy next year as they need a new Tamika and she is perfect for that. We shall see.
Moving on to today's game. Locked up 2-2 in the series, Sparks blew their chance. Lynx grabbed theirs. As you all know, I have Sparks +1600 to win this thing. I have hedged already because I want profit as that is what it is all about.
One thing that the Sparks are good at, is not turning the ball over. They only had 9 turnovers in Game #4 but still managed to lose. The difference is Moore, she is clutch in all aspects of the game. Parker goes missing. Nneka is doing her usual thing. Chelsea Gray is a surprise for me, she is doing well. Fowles beasting. The Lynx are just so deep but I don't expect the starters to rest too many mins in this game at all. I expect a physical game, every shot contested and that could lead to free throws and as we all know, these girls shoot them very well.
Back soon with my final play(s) for the season, its been a fun ride.
Thanks to everyone that has contributed this season as well.. NBA only 6 days away, looking forward to that.

Going with Minny tonight. I expect them to be hard defensively especially Fowles. Moore is always 110% in playoff games. The Sparks held her to 0 points in the 1H of game #1 and since that, she has been hard to stop. Minny's bench is deep, although I don't think we see too many of them for long periods of time but I just think that home court advantage is massive for Minny as they have probably the best (if not 2nd best) fan base in the WNBA. Should be a great game but I think the Lynx can win this game just like last season when they beat Indiana.

You too Wagers.. Been a fun season once again. GL on the under buddy, lets hope for another 69-52 Lynx win like last season.
You going to run the NBA contest this season? Good luck if you do with that mate but after last year's w@nkers mate, I am out and will just be posting my plays on covers.

Man, this pace is quick early on. I expected the refs to go slightly easier on the Sparks after blowing the call late last game.....doesn't look like that's the case.

No thoughts mate on that 2H line.. I will just hope the Lynx can cover FG. Expect Nneka back 2H though so they could really push with her back on the court.

and the Sparks are your 2016 WNBA champions.. That ending was just insane.. Ogwumike to the rescue. Well deserved, started the season 14-0 and finished off a big year.

What an incredible final minute to that game. Wow.
Maya Moore aces that shot when Beard goes down, the Beard just stands there and doesn't even run up the floor. What a crazy, crazy finish to this game. Great game.
