Odds are out for the biggest and best games of the upcoming college football season. Covers Expert Ben Burns gives you his insight into these marquee matchups and predicts where the odds could move before kickoff.

NCAAF Week 14: Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Stanford Cardinal (-5.5)

Past history: Notre Dame 10-6 SU, 9-7 ATS, 5/10 O/U since 1997
Recent history: Stanford 3-1 SU/ATS, 1/3 O/U since 2009 (Irish won 20-13 last year but narrowly missed cover.)

Early look at the Irish: Last year was obviously pretty special, as many things fell into place. Notre Dame fans believe this year's team has the potential to be special once again. Oddsmakers are projecting them to win nine games.

Early look at the Cardinal: The Cardinal are loaded and appear poised for another big year. Stanford fans are pointing to a Thursday night game vs. Oregon on Nov. 7 as a key to the season. Win that one and they feel the Cardinal could be undefeated coming into this game. Oddsmakers are projecting them to win 9.5 games.

Where this line will move: Injuries current season performance and how much each "needs" this game, will naturally play key roles in determining which way this line goes. If the season goes the way Stanford fans are hoping, I could see this line climbing higher.
