The Canadian Chamber of Commerce is pushing the Senate to legalize Bill C-290, a single-game sports betting bill that has been in the Senate for 18 months.
Per The Windsor Star:
Supporters of the bill continue to cite the economic and social benefits of the passing of the bill and are confused as to why it has sat in the Senate for so long.
There was a strong push in June for the bill to be passed before Senate adjourned for the summer, but to no avail.
Should the bill eventually pass, Canada's provinces would then be able to determine for themselves whether single-game wagering would be allowed or not.
