Baseball fans have plenty to get excited about with the upcoming World Baseball Classic set to get underway March 2.
Team USA has four returning players from the 2009 team, which lost to two-time champion Japan in the semifinals. Joe Torre will manage the 28-man roster that is loaded with top talent from the MLB. Teams have until Feb. 20 to submit formal rosters, but the U.S. has already announced its preliminary roster.
The Americans are slight favorites heading into this year’s event with the Dominican Republic and Japan right on their heels.
