Sunday Night Football has Tom Brady and the New England Patriots heading south to face the Atlanta Falcons at the Georgia Dome.
We talk to sportsbooks about the action coming in on the Sunday Night Football matchup and where oddsmakers see the line closing come kickoff:
New England Patriots at Atlanta Falcons (-3, 48.5)
The line opened Atlanta -1 and early action moved that number to -1.5 earlier in the week.
Books adjusted figures based on the status of Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski after there were rumblings that he'd make his debut on the Sunday night stage.
When news hit that Gronk was going to miss the game, the line moved to Falcons -2.5 and money kept coming in on Atlanta at that number.
According to Peter Childs of Sportsbook.ag, 70 percent of the action is coming in on the Falcons who find themselves in a must win situation or could wind up a couple of games behind the NFC South leading Saints.
"After going to 2.5, we kept seeing money come in on the Falcons, forcing us to go Falcons -2.5 (-115), to -2.5 (-120) and late Saturday evening going to Falcons -3 flat," Childs told Covers.
Childs believes that at that number, there should be some nice two-way action.
"We believe by going to Falcons -3, we’ll be able to write some very good, two-way action in what will be the most bet on game of the week."
