MLB betting: ALCS ties the most 1-run games in history

Oct 19, 2013 |

According to a tweet from ESPN Stats and Info, the Boston Red Sox and Detroit Tigers have matched the most one run ball games in an American League Championship series.

The two clubs have played in four such games with Game 6 slated for Saturday.

Games 1, 2, 3 and 5 were all decided by that one-run margin.

If any $100 bettor had taken the road team to cover the run line in those four games, they would be up $224.72.

Game 6 features Max Scherzer starting for the Tigers and Clay Buchholz starting for the Red Sox. The Tigers are currently +1.5 (-199) on the run line.
