Only two clubs have yet to get the ball rolling in the Premier League and they will battle for three points in the final Week 1 fixture Monday. Here's your quick cheat sheet.
Manchester City v Newcastle United (-300, +450, +1000)
Why bet Manchester City: The Man City check book was open again as the club inked star forwards such as Stevan Jovetic, Jesús Navas and Álvaro Negredo as well as midfielder Fernandinho. The Citizens also have a new gaffer as Manuel Pellegrini steps in from Malaga. He'll look for his side to get the ball rolling with three points in front of the home supporters. City finished a distant 11 points back of Manchester United a season ago and will look for improvements in the league.
Key players doubtful: Sergio Agüero, Matija Nastasic, Scott Sinclair.
Why bet Newcastle: The Magpies finished a disapointing 16th in the table last season and will look for drastic improvements of their own. They've been pillagaing France's Ligue 1 for young, affordable talent that have yet to gel. Boss Alan Pardew has his hands full in this away match, but with attacking players such as Hatem Ben Arfa, Yoan Gouffran and Papiss Demba Cissé, the Magpies could pose trouble for City defenders.
Key players doubtful: Jonás Gutiérrez, Ryan Taylor, Loïc Remy.
Key betting note: With seven losses and a pair of draws, Newcastle has never won a Premier League game at City's Etihad Stadium.
2012-13 fixture result: Manchester City 4, Newcastle 0
