Olympic men's hoops: USA faces Spain for gold

The USA's men’s basketball squad will face Spain for gold on Sunday in a rematch of the Beijing 2008 Olympic final after dispatching Argentina 109-83 on Friday.

Sports Interaction has the Americans listed as 20.5-point favorites over Spain with the total set at 190.5. USA is 5-2 ATS and has played over the total in six of its seven Olympic contests.

Durant led the USA with 19 points while James and Carmelo Anthony had 18 each in the victory over Argentina

Anthony is scoring 48.2 points per 48 minutes in the Olympics. He’s never averaged more than 36.3 points per 48 minutes in any of his nine NBA seasons.

Spain came storming back in the second half to book their place in the final with a 67-59 victory over Russia earlier Friday.

Pau Gasol led the way for Spain with 16 points while Jose Calderon added 14 and Marc Gasol and Rudy Fernandez had 11 each.
