Match-fixing has struck the soccer world once again.
Former AC Milan and Italian international Gennaro Gattuso had his home raided and searched overnight by investigators in UEFA's latest crackdown on match-fixing.
Ex-Lazio and Milan midfielder Cristian Brocchi has also been associated with fixing games.
Four arrests had recently been made with accusations of being involved in 'sporting fraud' with Gattuso and Brocchi being linked with having contacts with one of the individuals who had been arrested. There had been 15 overnight raids in homes in northern Italy.
This is just the latest episode of a problem which has plagued professional soccer in Italy. Lazio's Stefano Mauri is already serving a suspension for his involvement in the scandal.
Gattuso won a pair of Serie A titles and Champions League titles with Milan.
