NFL Week 2: San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks (-2.5)
Past history: San Francisco 4-2 SU, 3-3 ATS, 3-2-1 O/U since 2010
Early look at the 49ers: Expectations are sky high in San Francisco after the 49ers fell short in Super Bowl XLVII. Their season win total has been set at 11.5 games following a 2012 campaign that saw them win 11 games. This marks the second in a tough three-game opening slate that will also see the 49ers face the Green Bay Packers and the Indianapolis Colts.
Early look at the Seahawks: Seattle made a big splash thanks to a monster season from rookie QB Russell Wilson last year and with its core remaining intact, fans in the Pacific Northwest are counting on a return trip to the playoffs. Oddsmakers seem to be on board as well, calling for the Seahawks to win 10.5 games – the second-highest posted win total in the NFC.
Where this line will move: With this being a primetime game on Sunday Night Football, there’s a good chance we’ll see money flood in on the short home favorite. Of course, if the number climbs to -3, the 49ers will garner considerable support. That’s especially true if they enter this contest off a convincing win over the Green Packers in Week 1
