There are plenty of high-profile players still waiting to hear their names called heading into Round 2 of the 2013 NFL Draft Friday and oddsmakers at Ladbrokes.com are having a little fun with them.
The online book has offered odds on which big-name prospect will be the last one left in the draft Green Room, setting Mississippi State CB Darius Slay, who suffered a torn meniscus in his knee this offseason, as a -162 favorite to be the last man left at Radio City Music Hall.
West Virginia QB Geno Smith and Alabama RB Eddie Lacy are both priced at +300 while Florida State OT Menelik Watson is listed as a +700 long shot. Smith, who was projected as the top QB in the 2013 draft class, flirted with the idea of leaving New York and not returning to the Green Room after his first-round snub. However, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Smith has flip-flopped and will return for Friday's second round.
Just one quarterback was picked in the first round, that being Buffalo’s No. 16 selection of FSU QB E.J. Manuel, and no running backs were selected in Round 1 for the first time since 1963.
The Jaguars own the first pick of the second round, followed by San Francisco, Philadelphia, Detroit, Cincinnati, Arizona, N.Y. Jets, Tennessee, Buffalo, and Oakland.
Round 2 of the NFL Draft will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET followed by Round 3. Rounds 4-7 begin at 12 p.m. ET Saturday.
