Dwyane Wade will play for the Miami Heat tonight versus the Los Angeles Clippers despite missing shootaround this morning due to illness. However, Miami will not have the services of forward Chris Bosh or guard Ray Allen, who are out with the flu.
Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra told reporters that Wade would be available Friday but was showing flu-like symptoms. Wade said he got plenty of rest and fluids and blames the sickness on his children rather than his teammates.
"Blaming the kids, always," Wade told the Sun-Sentinel. "Three different kids means three different times."
The Heat will go with a starting lineup of Wade, LeBron James, Shane Battier, Udonis Haslem and Mario Chalmers. Los Angeles is expected to have their injured stars back for Friday. Blake Griffin, Chris Paul, Chauncey Billups and Jamal Crawford have all missed time this week due to ailments but are active for tonight.
Oddsmakers opened the Heat as 5.5-point favorites but that line has since dropped to -3. The total has moved from 195 to 193.
