The anticipated return of Kobe Bryant will finally happen as the Los Angeles Lakers host the Toronto Raptors Sunday.
There's only a slim chance he'll come close to the 81 points he hung on the Raptors back in 2006, however. According to ESPN, head coach Mike D'Antoni plans on limiting his minutes.
"He's totally well and ready to go. I think he'll be limited by his wind and ability to be able to take the pounding. So, I would be surprised if more than in the twenties. It shouldn't be any more than that," D'Antoni told ESPN.
According to one oddsmaker, Bryant is still worth a fair amount to Lakers spreads.
"I think in his prime he was worth an 8-to-10 point swing in line moves," an oddsmaker with TopBet.eu told Covers. "But he's going to be closer to 5.5 or 6 now until we see how much he's recovered."
The Lakers are currently 5.5-point home faves for Kobe's return.
