Bulls, Nets hobble into Game 6
The Chicago Bulls and Brooklyn Nets are banged up heading into Game 6 Thursday night in Chicago.
For Brooklyn, Joe Johnson (foot), Andray Blatche (right calf) and Reggie Evans (illness) are all probable but are expected to play. Greg Logan of Newsday reported that Johnson has been taking a painkilling shot before each game.
The Bulls will have Luol Deng and Nate Robinson in the starting lineup, according to Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today. Taj Gibson, who came down with the flu along with Deng and Robinson, is active.
K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune has reported that Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich (left calf) will not play in Game 6. Hinrich also missed Game 5 due to the calf injury.
Hinrich has been a foil for Brooklyn's Deron Williams. In games 2, 3 and 4 when the Bulls guard has defended him, Williams is shooting a combined 35 percent from the floor. Williams shot a substantially better 52 percent combined in Game 1 and Game 5 when Hinrich was not guarding him.
Bogut practices, probable Thursday
Warriors center Andrew Bogut took part in a light practice on Wednesday as he deals with an ankle injury.
Bogut hurt his ankle in Tuesday's 107-100 loss. He played 18 minutes and finished with two points and five rebounds.
The Aussie played just 32 games in the regular season but has played in each of the five games in the series against Denver. He has averaged seven points and 8.2 rebounds.
