Bolt's medal odds already set for 2016 Games

Aug 12, 2012 |
Usain Bolt added an exclamation mark to his dominance of the London Games on Saturday night with an explosive final leg in the 4x100-meter relay to lead Jamaica to a world-record victory over the USA.

The Jamaican sprinter’s domination of the 100 and 200-meter track events has prompted oddsmakers at William Hill to release early projections on Bolt’s performance at the 2016 games in Rio de Janeiro.

Bolt's six gold medals rank him fourth on the all-time list for track and field athletes and he’s just the second track and field athlete to complete a "triple-double" --winning the same three events at consecutive Olympics. The last to do it was American Ray Ewry 108 years ago.

Here are Bolt’s early medal odds for the 2016 Games:

Usain Bolt Gold Medals Rio 2016:
3/1 To win no gold medals
5/4 To win one gold medal
6/4 To win two gold medals
16/1 To win three Gold medals

Usain Bolt 100m Gold Rio 2016:
